Second straight year of his young NFL HC career he doesn't make it into the playoffs. The switch to Sanchez was looking pretty good there for a while until it really mattered. Would you have preferred the Iggles two seasons with Kelly's high powered offense or two years to the AFC CG with a rookie HC/QB combo? Are you saying we need to keep Rex?...why?... I need to hear this, am open minded to persuasion by a well constructed argument but right now I'm struggling to see how what the Eagles do is a reason for us to make or not make a Change at HC

Just putting things in perspective.

Kelly is revered as an offensive guru, but it looks like he got out of Sanchez as much as is possible, he's hit his ceiling. I'm glad we got to see the experiment because that's what fans wanted Rex to do, and it didn't work. I think it's quite an accomplishment to get to two CG's as a rookie, with that rookie QB. He did get results.

Not a fan of his choice of QB's but the preparation and details I think are notch above what we have. If he has a similar failing to Rex is that he appears to believe that his scheme (O) is what matters over talent. With Rex he feels he can coach up the talent with his D schemes. That's a great point. It'll be interesting to see how his career plays out.

The Eagles might have made the worst pick of the first round this year, linebacker Marcus Smith.
Has only played in eight games this year and hasn't made a single tackle. That's Gholston bad.

Haven't followed anything about Smith but it would be nice to see Pryor do some of this big hitting he's supposed to do. Secondary shittiness may play a part but he had some opportunities to do some hitting against the pats and didn't see much

Not only did Rex inherit a much better roster, Tanny used every done that we saved from Favres salary to import HIS guys on defense. Kelly inherited a terrible OL and a defense that is worse than that. Kelly is light years better than Rex. Kelly was very sought after. We were the only team to consider Rex. Hell, the team he coached for over ten years, hired an outsider over him. That has to say something. Everybody loves the job Balt FO does. No one ever second guessed them for not even considering Rex. Only the Jets. God willing the circus leaves town in 6 days.

Whereas Rex will have to shoulder the blame for not developing him properly because he's not an offensive, QB minded coach

Put PHI's schedule in perspective. There are five 11-4 teams in the NFC and PHI had losses to four of them. They had a rough schedule this year.
