We are less than 24 hours away so hopefully we can keep the chatter into one thread. Mods, please ban anyone who announces the pick before it is televised on the networks.
What network are you watching the draft on? I'm leaning towards ESPN.
Miles Jack taking a herculean slide or is it all bullshit?

I think the slide is legit... when a player stops denying the possibility of surgery - you know shit is real. I'm an NFL network guy, personally.

I agree on Jack. Beginning to think he is going to be the guy teh cameras will be on as he continues to slide -- if he is in Chicago. I assume you guys saw this quote of his that Bart Hubboch posted to twitter -- I copied it to another thread yesterday:
That shit scares me when the kid acknowledges and injury with potential long term implications.

Wow, that's about as bad as it gets, especially coming from his own mouth.

I'll be watching NFL network. Can't stand the ESPN guys and you know one or two of them have been told by the producers to slam whatever pick the Jets make.
I'm all for legitimate criticism of a pick, but not argument for the sake of argument which is about 95% of what ESPN does now.
By the way, is it still 15 minutes allowed for each pick? By my rough math, if every team takes that long the Jets will be picking at 1:00 a.m.

The thing I hate about NFL network is each year they have their set of guys on path to the draft whom you get used to watching and then on draft day they parachute in the heavy hitter putzs that make you cringe. (Rich Eisen jumped the shark years ago)
ESPN (TSN in Canada) I don't like much.
Still my on going huge pet peeve is not so much round one but the later rounds where the talking heads get 3, 4, 5 picks behind becasue they are bleating about some story not related to the draft. Then they have to catch up and don;t give a word about the players drafted.

That's not too bad, that puts our pick...at the latest, around 11:30 (barring a trade back).

Although I may not mind as much this year since Islanders game 2 will be starting while they should be onto the 5th or 6th round.

I'm pretty sure that it's La Canfora that consistently tweets out the pick before the networks have it. I'm not sure if he just watches who is answering the phone or what.
But watch Mayock. He will be predicting one or two guys with the next pick and then once he hears though the headset who it's actually going to be, he will bring up that name at the last second as if he divined it. He does it every year. It's hilarious.

I'll be watching it on NFL Network, but I hate when the leak the pick to Mayock 10 seconds before, and he says "don't be shocked if they take so and so here." Like really dude? You just spent the last 5 minutes talking about how they need to take this other player.

Yeah, they've done a better job at controlling the leaks over the past two years, but it's still fucking annoying.
If you're going to tell me the pick beforehand...then what the hell is the point of watching?
I might as well do something else and catch a recap on the internet later.
