Drago would suck the stiff metal cock of a jugs machine if it feeds him 100+ catches.

If Decker's on board as well, this sounds like more than just Marshall's usual crazy over-enthusiasm Looking more and more like Fitz is history How horribly insensitive of you to refer to Brandon in any manner as "crazy".

Drago would suck the stiff metal cock of a jugs machine if it feeds him 100+ catches. And I'm sure Decker remembers that in the 2014 finale with Geno, he caught 10 of 11 targets for over 200 yards with a shit O-line and no other offensive weapons.

www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2016/05/brandon_marshall_100_percent_confident_in_geno_smi.htmlNEW YORK — If, for some reason, the Jets don't re-sign quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, then Geno Smith could be The Guy again next season. Smith struggled as a starter from 2013-14, his first two seasons. Then he was Fitzpatrick's backup last season. Smith's career stats: 27 touchdown passes, 35 interceptions, and a 72.3 quarterback rating. Smith was relegated to that role after then-teammate IK Enemkpali slugged him during an August locker room dispute and broke his jaw. How would the Jets' top wide receiver, Brandon Marshall, feel about Smith potentially starting in 2016? "A hundred percent confident in Geno," Marshall told NJ Advance Media on Tuesday. "I think he's grown so much from the first conversation I had with him, before I got traded [from Chicago last offseason], and also since [early] last year when we were roommates. "He's an ultimate pro right now. I don't know if that's always been the answer [about him]. But I'm just so proud of the kid, because the areas where he's been challenged, he's grown and gotten better." Receiver Eric Decker recently expressed similar confidence in Smith, who is entering the final year of his rookie contract. Last year, the Jets drafted quarterback Bryce Petty in Round 4. This year, they drafted another quarterback, Christian Hackenberg, in Round 2. So it looks like they've moved on from Smith. Grading Jets' 2016 draft picks Grading Jets' 2016 draft picks How we see things. But if Fitzpatrick isn't back in Florham Park next season, Smith might have another chance as the starter, since he is the most experienced quarterback among the Jets' current trio. And that would be just fine with Marshall, though he does really want the Jets to re-sign Fitzpatrick. Marshall spoke Tuesday evening in Manhattan before being honored with the Champion Award at the Child Mind Institute's Change Maker Awards banquet. The awards recognize people and organizations who create meaningful change for children struggling with mental health and learning disorders. The Child Mind Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children and families who struggle with mental health and learning disorders. Marshall, diagnosed five years ago with borderline personality disorder, leads a foundation, Project 375, that raises awareness and funding for mental health issues. He recently testified before a U.S. Senate committee about those issues. both decker and marshall make their qb's look much better than they truly are. that's why, imo, genot starting this season is not that improbable. couple them with amaro, enunwa, forte and the qb should have an easy time finding an open receiver.

I have low expectations this yr... I just do... I don't care who the qb is... That's not true... I'd like to see what Petty can do...

I'm fine with playing with out Fitz and concentrating and focusing the reps and our coaching on the younger guys. I know the back up QB is always the most popular player on a Jets squad, but I too would like to see what Petty has.

Can't believe what I'm reading here....
So some of you will try to polish a turd and pretend it isn't one now?
GENO SUCKS AND ALWAYS WILL SUCK. And if Fitz isn't re-signed and Geno starts, we might as well look forward to the 2016-17 draft.
We were successful with Fitz last season.
We'd be lucky to go 8-8(again) with GeNOPE.
We're going to be seeing more bonehead plays and stupid decisions from him, should he start.
(in other words, Mac better re-sign Fitz.)

Again, I prefer Fitz to be the starter over Geno but let's be honest here... Fitz sucks. He's always sucked. He has had an entire career that can be described as nothing better than mediocre. When he finally had a good season for the first time in his career, he shit the bed in the biggest game of his career.
With Fitz, as of right now, I have us going 8-8 this season. I hope I'm wrong but I don't see Fitz having as good a season as he did last year when he faces a tougher schedule. I hope he resigns and proves me wrong.

Schedule is brutal. I could easily see a 1-6 start with Fitz. So I think that by signing him is just blowing money. And he wants a lot of money. This guy came over for a 7th Rd draft pick and was helped tremendously by 2 big WR's, one with an insane catching radius. Many of Fitz's throws were off target but became completions due to the simple fact it was Marshall he was throwing to. I don't want them to sign Fitz for the simple reason is I know what the end result will be...No Play-Offs, especially with the schedule this year.
We just roll with someone else and I don't care if it's Geno for part of the season and then see what Petty can do if Geno fails. And that's not a given about him failing although most will laugh at that statement. Geno played his first 2 years with probably the worst Offensive talent in the league. Definitely at the skill positions.
Fitz's time has come and gone. He stepped in it last year, a perfect situation for him and he wan't there to answer the bell in the last week which for all intents and purposes was a play-off game. I don't care that it was a Rex Ryan team that he got amped up to play the Jets. 1/2 of that Bill team was decimated by injury. Total joke that the Jets and Fitzpatrick lost. I'll say it again, you know what you'll get from Fitz and it's not play-offs.

I get that it's hard to predict schedules because anything can happen, but we can almost surely expect those first 7 games to be very difficult opponents. Maybe one team will have a downturn but not all of them. So why would we expect Fitz to do better this year, even as good won't cut it

In an ideal world, Fitz signs for money the Jets can afford, performs well, makes the playoffs and mentors Hackenberg and Petty. In a FUBAR world, Fitz says screw it and lays on the couch, Geno Starts and it's a wasted season. In the somewhere in between world, Hackenberg steps in mid season, plays well and cements the starting job for himself. The Jets then draft to shore up the offensive line and have a really good 2017-18 season.
