I completely agree with Simms we will not be worse with Geno. We got a potentially elite defense and a few playmakers on offense. This team has a legit shot at the playoffs this year no matter how tough the schedule looks.

The most important decision in the NFL this year has already been made! That is, who's going to coach
Jameis Winston? Stay thirsty my friends. Fuck off Mainjet, don't come over here and ruin this site.

GENO SUCKS AND ALWAYS WILL SUCK. Vinny TestaverdeYEAR Age Cmp% TD Int
1988 25 47.6 13 35 1989 26 53.8 20 22 1990 27 55.6 17 18 1991 28 50.9 8 15 1992 29 57.5 14 16 1993 30 56.5 14 9 1994 31 55.1 16 18 So what's your point exactly? Last I heard, GeNOPE wasn't a Heisman winner. Plus he's got tapioca pudding for brains when it comes to playing the position in the NFL. Anyway, this will all be moot because Fitz will be re-signed in the end.

Schedule is brutal. I could easily see a 1-6 start with Fitz. So I think that by signing him is just blowing money. And he wants a lot of money. This guy came over for a 7th Rd draft pick and was helped tremendously by 2 big WR's, one with an insane catching radius. Many of Fitz's throws were off target but became completions due to the simple fact it was Marshall he was throwing to. I don't want them to sign Fitz for the simple reason is I know what the end result will be...No Play-Offs, especially with the schedule this year.
We just roll with someone else and I don't care if it's Geno for part of the season and then see what Petty can do if Geno fails. And that's not a given about him failing although most will laugh at that statement. Geno played his first 2 years with probably the worst Offensive talent in the league. Definitely at the skill positions. Fitz's time has come and gone. He stepped in it last year, a perfect situation for him and he wan't there to answer the bell in the last week which for all intents and purposes was a play-off game. I don't care that it was a Rex Ryan team that he got amped up to play the Jets. 1/2 of that Bill team was decimated by injury. Total joke that the Jets and Fitzpatrick lost. I'll say it again, you know what you'll get from Fitz and it's not play-offs. Going by that logic, if Geno starts....it will be the same result(No Play-Offs) but at the same time we will be watching the same bonehead plays and decisions that GeNOPE always makes. If Fitz isn't brought back, I'd rather the Jets throw Bryce Petty into the fire. He can't be any worse than G-NOPE. Plus, we can see what we have. Or we could just go straight to Hack instead. Either way would be fine since we all know what we have in Geno(none of it good).

Decimal point in the wrong place.
I am 10% confident in Geno.

I'm not confident much in Geno, but approximately about as confident as I was with Fitzpatrick prior to his first start.
The QB play isn't going to carry this team regardless of who is back there. If Geno happens to be the guy, I wouldn't expect a lot of different end results than Fitz. The way they get there would look a lot different.
In some ways, I actually think Geno's "skill set" better compliments the other offensive pieces better than Fitz.

This is the kiss of death to Fitz's re-signing with the Jets. Marshall has a history of flipping and flopping when it comes to praising his QB's. He always talks up the incumbent QB. Just saying...

Marshall was asked about a situation if Fitz didn't resign. But he has consistently said he wants Fitz back, that Fitz is a leader and that he believes it will get done. Of course he is going to talk up Geno if asked about a situation where Fitz ends up not signing. This is off season BS getting blown out of proportion.

Fitz could quite well get beaten out by hungry Petty or Hackenberg after signing here. We would all be pissed because that's money that could've gone somewhere else (Mo). All the media bitching about us not resigning Fitz yet will switch up their opinion later & question if we should have ever resigned him to sit on the bench. I see a Russell Wilson/Matt Flynn situation happening if we resign him. I'm good. He was traded for a 7th for a reason. Smart guy. Good guy. Very average QB.

At least Lyin Ted (sort of) dropped out. HIllary OTOH, where is the scandal that is supposed to take her out before the nomination? Or are they waiting for right before the election?

The FBI apparently is acting as if they have no interest in indicting her for crimes that would have you or I executed without question. Or they will wait til it's all locked up and she will pardon herself or Big O will pardon her as soon as it's made official. It's good to be queen. I wish you could be queen instead, VTN.

I would like to see what the O looks like with Geno throwing the ball to Decker and Marshall, and having Forte to lean on. Geno never had anything close to Marshall as an option. As we saw with Shitz, you can throw the ball to Marshall even when he's covered. Plus, Chan's Offense is suited to Geno's strengths. If the Jets do sign Shitz, his contract had better have a "de-escalating" clause that lowers his salary if he is on the bench (uninjured) rather than on the sideline. If the Jets had concluded that Geno beat Shitz out last season, why would they reach the same conclusion this season?

Geno is a better athlete, Fitz made similar mistakes to what Geno is prone to do. Assuming Geno has even marginally improved, that Chan is a better OC than he has ever worked with who would tailor the O to his strengths and knowing that the other skill players on O are better than they were for Geno in 2014 I think you have to give him a real chance to win the job. May as well play our own cheap retread rather than bring in someone else's problems or Fitz at too high of a salary which could cost us other players.
