interesting cut. mettenberg was supposed to be an up and comer before they signed mariota. at some point having too many qb's has got to start being a problem.

I'd definitely put in a waiver claim.
The same age as Petty, but with more pro experience.
Could backup Geno, or possibly even beat him out to start.
Of course, I fully expect him to be claimed by a team higher up the waiver order. He's young, has a big arm and is on a cheap rookie deal. He'll get scooped up fast by someone like the Chargers.
