Fitz will definitely be back and if he isn't on the roster come opening day bring this post up and serve me some crow. It doesn't taste good although I've had it before. There's a reason why nothing has happened on the MO front and our 20th overall draft pick is still unsigned. It was reported months ago that there was an agreement in place, Fitz is still hanging out with his Jets teammates. Reading between the lines I think Fitz is giving Mac and the Jets their due time to get the salary cap in shape because it's already a mess right now. Honest question here - what is it that Mac can do to get the cap in shape between now and TC? Your scenario sounds reasonable, but what are the moves that can be made within 20 days? Sign Mo long term and we only have two more days to get that done, cut Breno, and restructures out the ass because that is what it's going to take to pay Fitz. As of right now we barely have enough room to get Lee under contract.

I'm all for cutting Breno, getting Lee in here and closing up shop. Fuck Fitz.

Who cares, go away futz and never come back. What a situation we are in - most fans don't even want the loser back but it's like we are on the edge of our seats about whether he will sign. I say again - who fuckin' cares. He's a loser through and through. Just wish he would go drink at an irish bar all day and give up on football. Just not any bars I go to, because I don't want to see his bearded mick ugly face.

Move on from Fitz, sign Mo, sign Lee. That's the best thing for this team.

While I would like to keep him, the most financially sound thing to do is let him walk. He isnt JJ Watt, his stats are good but not 60 mil guaranteed good.. Cutting Breno makes no sense with no replacement in sight so thats not happening either. We have enough to get Lee signed, that is a small issue. Fitz can either take what they already offered or kick rocks. This years schedule is harder and those floating ducks wont cut it 2 years in a row. You guys remember those limp dick throws penny used to make? Big brain, small arm? Sound familiar? Let's just put some common sense into play here and rationally examine a few facts: 1. Shitz has never gotten a team to the playoffs...NEVER...6 teams, 11 years, 0 playoff appearances 2. Shitz wants a contract that can cripple the team for a few years 3. Shitz isnt the QB of the future, a short term place holder at best 4. Neither Shitz or Geno are likely to win us 10 games this season which is what we will likely need to get in the playoffs 5. Geno was designated the starter last year, has a higher upside, a lower contract and is in his second year in the same system with the best team he has ever had around him. 6. People love to say Geno is dumb and processes things too slowly but the reality is he is a young player who didnt play in a pro system and wasnt expected to be good for 2 years anyway.....just like hackenburg....just like petty. Why is the standard different all of the sudden now for Geno? This isnt to say I think Geno is the answer, this is to say paying Shitz anything over 9 mil isnt. #FUCKFITZ

I was bored shitless the other night so I watched a couple of games, one was from 11, I watched Sanchez intently and he was so erratic, barley got to his second read and just looked so tense and awkward, it was hard to watch. I then watched one from 13 and Geno still looks like he has something to me, he looked smooth, he went through his reads and was accurate and solid for the most part. He was getting put on his ass with poor protection, nothing open downfield and was throwing into tight windows etc, he was also gettin let down with bad drops out of the backfield from Ivory. Really has me excited to see what he can do with Forte, Deck and Marsh and a second year in Gailey's system, I also think Mac and Bowles are just as intrigued. I'm glad we finally might get to put this Geno debate to bed.

I don't know if you have these, but check out ANY of the final four games of 2014. You'll see all the things you're talking about above - he was like a different QB to close out the season. We just didn't care, because at that stretch the Jets were 2-10 and we were just thinking about draft picks as fans. They should have finished 3-1 over the final four games, and as I've said before, in Geno's last professional start he put up a perfect game despite having nothing on the outside beyond Decker and Amaro. I'm ready to put the debate to bed also, and even if Geno doesn't pan out, I'll lean out and predict that everyone here will be ultimately disappointed that he didn't get a shot with the '15 roster. It was a wasted (albeit fun) year with Fitz, and inviting him back is just wasting another year.

Any jet fan that watched those games in a dogshit Rex Ryan offense with the talent around him should be chomping at the bit to see an older maturer Geno in this team and offense. To be honest it's the only reason I'm excited for this season, if Fitz comes back it will ruin it for me.

Seeing what Geno can do w/ a real WR corps is the only really intriguing, interesting or exciting thing to look forward to this season. Maybe the light goes on playing w/ real weapons and we surprise the league. Maybe not, and we all will finally know for sure he isn't going to be any good. But, w/ Fitz we get nothing we haven't seen already - bad arm, inaccurate, boring and not good enough for the playoffs. No thanks. I'll take my chances w/ Geno than guaranteed medicority (or worse) w/ futz. Just a lost season w/ beardo.

Bowles had no choice but to announce Fitz the starter. It's a P.R. move. You cant announce that the guy who just broke every franchise record we have ever had for a QB will have to come back and compete with a guy who got his face cracked in the locker room, lost a lot of respect and while improving didnt exactly light it up the first 2 years. He had nothing to stand on...the better move is offer a bullshyt contract, hope he blinks and takes it or walks. He knows that if he comes back Shitz will NOT go 4-1 over our first 5 games, will bench him and he can see what Geno has the rest of the season to show whether or not we should offer him a contract in the off season. Besides, if Shitz lays an egg the fans will be begging to get Geno in there to "see what he has". It's a win, win for Bowles. #FUCKFITZ

I know anyone can look good in a highlight reel but here's every Geno TD as a Jet and look at the shite he is throwin to most of the time.
There's some nice throws in here where he feels the pressure, goes through his reads and then climbs the pocket to deliverer an accurate pass.
Excited to see what he can do with this group in Gailey's system.
