Tag him again next year.
That means he will have had nearly 35 mil guaranteed over two years out of us, he will be nearly 28 by then and we will have had his best years.
He will then be a FA but he won't get that monster pay deal he wants 2 years from now.
It's a bad way to treat Mo, but as the players say "it's just business"

Won't it be cost prohibited?

No one is giving him 60 guaranteed in two years at 28.

It should be obvious to everyone by now that the two sides are never going to reach a longterm deal. So I don't see the point in tying up all that money and restricting how Maccagnan can operate, especially when you still have Leo and Sheldon on the roster.

Unless he plays at another level which he's absolutely capable of he would then get that money at 28 , I hope he plays super great to where he deserves that money , only makes our team and defense better with crazy play coming from wilk

sad to say, but i don't see him on the team this time next year... Personally, I think it's moderately pathetic to let the ONLY 1st rnd draft pick since Revis who actually "panned out" -- move on to another team while our salary cap is eaten alive by Buster Skrines, Gilchrists, Giacomnis etc.. bullshit.
on the flip side, keeping Mo here to me says that the Williams over Gurley pick was absolute utter fucking waste and a sign of incompetence by Macc.
pick your poison.

Agreed. I don't see the genius in Mac like some do. His drafts have been suspect at best. He's like a deer in the headlights at draft time just taking best available, although this past draft he took guys I didn't think would go in the 1st 3 rounds in round 1. Right now he looks like idzik's fatter four eyed brother.
