Did anyone else here go? I was stunned at how good they sounded, especially Axl. I've been to dozens of shows in my life, and this may have been top 5....definitely top 10. Sad to think of how many years they wasted due to the infighting and substance issues.

I went Saturday night. Wound up on a tailgate bus for the ride in and pre-show party. Got their about 4 hours before the show and drank and sweated until we went in. Watched about two Kravitz songs then hit the bar. I thought GnR sounded great. Axel held his own, and was smart to take breaks throughout night, and Slash is a god damn monster. Double Talking Jive and Coma were highlights for me.

I went Sunday. Thank god I stumbled into club seats (didn't realize it when I bought them). Agree on the breaks for Axl. Seems like they setup the songs so that he could give his all in the "signature" parts of the popular songs. Worked perfectly IMO. +1 on Slash. He was all business and made those Les Pauls burn.

Went Saturday with the wife. Tailgated for a few hours before the show. G N R were great. Axl sounded really good. They definitely gave him plenty of rest during the show. The extended guitar solos were excellent and gave Axl the breathers he needed. He definitely held back a little at times but also let it rip often. Slash was great. Loved his New York Fuckin City shirt. Duff looked healthy and sounded great too. And Fortus can really play. His weaving with Slash was great.
The show was almost 3 hours long. We had VIP parking and got out of the lot fast. Got across the GW on the way home and saw that it was dead stopped. It's incredible that the Cross Bronx is absolute fucking dogshit 24/7. Fortunately I was able to completely miss the traffic by taking the Deegan. Was glad to get home quick because with the heat, the tailgating and the long show, I was spent.

Is it the original line up with Adler and Izzy? No Adler or Izzy. Adler did join for a few songs at a show recently, but I thought I read he had back issues (not sure if that's true). Not sure why Izzy didn't join. The guys taking their places more than hold their own.

Saw the show here in Atlanta and it was awesome. Faxel looked rough trying to sway his fat ass like he did in the old videos, but his voice was in good shape. Slash crushed it...amazing what the lack of booze and smack will donfor you. Duff played well but legit looks like a zombie. Fortus was good enough to hang with Slash on rhythm. I think the drummer was actually the weakest link honestly. Adler jusr made those tunes breathe a little bit. Regardless it was a great night and like someone else said, sucks they spent so many years off pissing and moaning at each other.
Rumor has it Smashing Pumpkins reunion is next up...

Never understood the smashing pumpkins. Siamese Dream is one of the best guitar albums of all-time, front to back. Do yourself a favor and listen to it with headphones on, it's unreal the quantity and quality of guitar sounds and riffs on that album. That being said, if you don't like Billy Corgan's voice (which is understandable), you probably aren't gonna like them.

Fortunately I was able to completely miss the traffic by taking the Deegan. Did it sell your email address to Scout.com? But seriously, I missed the concert, was away on vacation, but friends who went echoed this - Slash was awesome, Axl surprisingly good.
