Well after 35 minutes of football (because we all know that is all it takes) I really have to question Denver's decision to start Trevor Siemian. What the hell did they see in this kid to make them think he is the guy? Their D is really good but damn they have to be pissed that they are starting this kid. He is making rookie Sanchez look good.

and like clockwork I make my snarky comment and the kid drives for a TD with pressure in his face.

And now the D steps up. If he makes no mistakes they could win, I still say they go 8-8 at best

If Newton had any sense of urgency on the last drive they could have gotten alot closer than 50 yards.

Very Sanchez like. 1 TD, 2 ints. Under 200 yards.

That's the problem the Jets and the fans have they wouldnt take a chance on a 1 year QB starting that's why Geno is still on the roster.

We started Geno and Sanchez thieir rookie yrs?... It won't happen anymore. I would have let Fitz walk and started Petty think he is a better QB than Sieman

Sooner or later you need to either give the kids a chance with the starters or stop drafting QBs. If you aren't going to ever give them a chance because you need an "experienced" QB then the Catch-22 is that your kids will never get experience. I find it hard to believe there is that much value in starting Fitz over Petty unless they are seeing things in practice from Petty that really scare them.

I find it hard to believe there is that much value in starting Fitz over Petty unless they are seeing things in practice from Petty that really scare them. Could also be concerns with the offensive line -- especially the right side. Fitz is definitely limited, but he has shown an ability to make quick decisions and get rid of the ball quickly, or take off and run when necessary. Very limited sample, but I have not seen that same ability to make the quick read/decision from Petty. Given time in the pocket, he can make some great throws -- as we have seen in pre-season, but maybe the coaching staff is not as confident that he can make the offense work behind an average at best OL.
