After two years in purgatory we can move forward.
Janae Coakley is reporting that she was told it is going to be a "clean house" by Woody Johnson. So more firings to come.
Time for a fresh start and clean slate for the NYJ. 45 and counting.

I root for the Jets to win every time, because I'm a real fan.
I get that logically it might make sense to lose, but part of being a "fanatic" is the emotional aspect of being involved with your team. It doesn't seem right to root against the Jets or any team I root for, regardless of the long-term consequences.
Also, there is ZERO guarantee that Mariota or Winston are the absolute savior, although Winston is definitely the better bet IMO.

Many of us have been so disappointed with the path of the franchise the past few years that we have grown apathetic. Same bullshit every year. Get our asses kicked when the season is on the line and then rally to save everyone's jobs. It gets fucking old.
Nothing is ever guaranteed. Ever. Goes without saying. But you have to give yourself a shot. I have moved on the from the QB pipe dreams. I am now hoping we draft OL. Solidify the OL, retain Harvin, get 16 games of Decker and have Amaro take the next step. That is what I would like to see in 2015 on offense.

We must bring in an offensive mind. Rex, mangini, herm, these guys were defense. The game is about offense and it's time we get someone who can actually develop a quarterback. Anyone can draft a qb, not everyone can develop them.

Find a good DC but Offense has been neglected for far too long.

It is the offense and STs (essentially roster depth) that need complete overhauls.

Drafting and signing OL should be the priority this off-season. Unless we draft a franchise QB, OL is the second-best way of transforming the offense .
Dallas proved that with an elite o-line, you can transform Tony Romo and Demarcus Murray into MVP-caliber players overnight.

However, I'm still holding out hope that we trade up for Winston or Cooper. Remember, the new GM isn't going to be John Idzik who sits on his ass and literally does nothing the entire off-season.

Anyone can draft a qb, not everyone can develop them. I do agree somewhat but you got to understand that the head coach needs to be a part of all facets of the game. It might not make a difference if we hire a defensive or offensive kinda guy, the next head coach needs to understand the importance of a solid offense, defense and special teams something that Rex could not do. For example some defensive type guys that have good offenses: Mike Smith, Mike Tomlin, John Fox, and Lovie Smith (with the bears). I am not saying I do not want an offensive mind as a head coach in fact most of my choices are offensive minds, but I also like Bowles and Quinn. Ideally, I want a guy that will understand and pay attention to all facets of the game.
