At least this makes the rest of the season more interesting. I am not sure what we have in Petty. One thing I can say about him is that I like the kid. I hope he succeeds. I'm just glad he is getting the opportunity.

Will be interesting to see the adjustments Petty can make and how well he can do with a balanced game plan.

Great news, should make the games more interesting.
But, let's hope they put in a game plan geared towards petty's perceived strengths and not some vanilla crap.

P, I get it, but what can we do at this point? I know you don't advocate going after Romo or Cutler. Do you really want to trade up for Kizer, Watson or Trubisky? Fuckgggggrrrrrhhhhh! Paradis needs to chill. Maybe watch a shitty Terence Malik "film". _ hahaha, you fucking guy. I know you'd go there. Getting gray ball hair waitin over here!

I'm just having one of those nights... I wish Petty was the man. God do i ever. I would love to have a charismatic young buck with a big arm and balls to use it, too. I really do wish it would have worked out. But it's not, and I just can't stomach anymore time spend lost in stagnation. P, I get it, but what can we do at this point? I know you don't advocate going after Romo or Cutler. Do you really want to trade up for Kizer, Watson or Trubisky? honestly, i do think we need to start Petty the rest of the way, and maybe a token start for Hack in wee 17 if Petty shows zero improvement. Next year?... Who knows. Who fucking knows... We really needed to have something better than a guy who was inactive for 16 games this year. Instead of Petty, it should be Hack right now. I think you have to go after a guy at least some guy who still has an air mystery about them. Be that Glennon, Garoppolo, Savage, Hundley etc. Some will be next be less likely than others for obvious reasons. You couple that with a high draft pick QB, and make that guy compete with Hack.

All I care about the rest of the way is seeing improvement from Petty. Last night was a tough spot for him, coming in in the second half of a lost game when he was being asked to throw on every down. After a week when he probably had limited practice reps as a back-up. It is disappointing that he had Anderson open deep several times and missed him (aside from the TD throw). He also appeared to be late with a couple of throws -- the first interception comes to mind. But he also was not helped by several drops from his receivers.
With 4 weeks of practice with the 1s, all I want to see out of him is improvement. I just want to see the guy get better over the course of his 4 week audition.
If nothing else, he gives us something to look forward to over this last month of a lost season.

With a top 5 pick we need to go OT or CB first, without a doubt. There's no elite QB in this class. At least not one that Maccagnan and the Jets are smart enough to identify.

None of those have translated. Literally zero. But he had it at Baylor you will admit. Thanks. _ You have literally zero to base this confidence in Petty on. Maybe he will be fantastic some day but at the moment it is wishful thinking

Hell I had confidence we were going to be a playoff team this year and that didn't work out so well. _
