I had to avert my eyes and missed Geno''s antics. Did I miss anything? I didn't see it but read about it. After Fitz threw the pick Geno flung a cup of ice in disgust and then picked up a ball and started warming up.

After Fitz threw the pick Geno flung a cup of ice in disgust and then picked up a ball and started warming up. Which would have made Geno coming in and driving the team down for a score a nice way to end an otherwise awful first 6 weeks of the year. But to pitch a fit and then mirror the same incompetence on the field... Jets football in a nutshell.

I loved it. Now we can rid ourselves of that Dbag.
Scary is that due to CBA young QBs are getting zero reps.

At the point yep. Burn the roster and go into rebuild mode. We are not built for winning now. We are built for picking up shit. With their hands.True that. 2nd oldest starting offensive roster in the league. (Cards are number one though and they looked pretty good)

"It's not that I have no confidence in Geno," Bowles said. "We have two quarterbacks that can play right now. Fitz is our starter. Anybody back there would've been under duress today."
I call bullshit. When Fitz had time he over/under threw receivers!

like just about everyone else, i am mad as hell about what they did and didn't do last night. where is the friggin offense? i'm sure most of the players are trying but they're not putting it all together. the oline always seems like its collapsing and can't seem to run block to save its like. and forte hasn't done himself any favors either. he seems to ti toe through the holes (taht aren't there) instead of putting his head down and hitting them hard. ivory would try to make a hole. forte doesn necessarily flop but he gets stopped pretty easy. and fitz can't get the vision he needs to see the open guys. this forces him to go exclusively to marshall. how was it possible for enunwa to go a full half without getting thrown to? and where were the te's? there's an awful lot going on that's bad and it's hard to put a finger on any one piece.
going forward they really need to start petty with fitz backing up. geno had his chance and just reverted to form. i didn't see the fumble or the pick but the replay didn't do him any favors. and maybe they need some additional moves beyond the qb. forte? they have a back on the practice squad who ran pretty well in preseason. throw him in there. get bohannon back. put richardson in at full back. do something to help the run blocking.

. geno had his chance and just reverted to form. Omg get over yourself. Some of you are willingfully stupid or just plain morons. Look, I agree it's time to get a look at Petty soon. Fuck, throw Hack the wolves too.... but spare me the bullshit homo narrative that Geno was "true to form" last night. What backup QB anywhere in the NFL comes off the bench late in the game down 25 in obvious throw-every-down situation -- and plays like a boss?? Who the fuck looks great in that situation

Who the fuck looks great in that situation I agree with this. Geno will probably be nothing, but he needs to be playing over a 34 year old piece of crap. Also INT was on 4th down. He had to try to pick up the first down. Unfortunately, Mathieu played it perfectly and outworked our rookie WR for the ball. I'm for letting Geno play the next 2-3 games while we bring Petty up to speed. Then we can find out just how fucked we are by the end of the season.

ball protection is an acquired skill for QB's that our QB's have not acquired Tackling is an acquired skill for the defense that our defense has not acquired either Now back to our shitty qbs...

Who the fuck looks great in that situation Tom Brady after Mo Lewis knocked Bledsoe into Week 3. Brady almost brought the Pats back that game. Don't get me wrong, your points are of course still valid, but fuck Geno. He might not have had the window to look like a boss, but he didn't have to look like a turnover-prone fuck boy either. Which he did. For the record, I thought fans were too hard on him last year after the OAK game. For the same reasons you mentioned. But it's the "I don't really know how to protect myself or the football" style of play from Geno that makes it hard to throw any support behind him. And I was all for giving him one last shot this year until Mac pulled the rug out from under us and brought in Fitz. If he plays this year, great, would rather watch him than Fitz. If he doesn't play, fuck Geno too.

I would run Geno out there for a couple games, and barring Smith going 3-0, turn it over at that time

I couldn't believe when I read this morning that Bowles was going back to Fitz...but I guess he doesn't have the luxury of doing what's right for the future since it's highly unlikely that he'll be a part of it. Which just means that we as fans get to sit in a dark room with The Gimp and wait for our turn. As usual.

Bowles back tracked in his conference call yesterday saying he's going to discuss the QB situation with his coaches last night ,
Also said that it's possible both petty and hack play this year but have to take a couple more steps in the process to get there ,
I'm thinking Geno starts next 3 or 4 games and they see where the team is at if after game 4 there is no hope they will use the bye week to get either petty or hack up to speed and 2 weeks of reps
