. geno had his chance and just reverted to form. Omg get over yourself. Some of you are willingfully stupid or just plain morons. Look, I agree it's time to get a look at Petty soon. Fuck, throw Hack the wolves too.... but spare me the bullshit homo narrative that Geno was "true to form" last night. What backup QB anywhere in the NFL comes off the bench late in the game down 25 in obvious throw-every-down situation -- and plays like a boss?? Who the fuck looks great in that situation genough is not very good. you know it. admit it. and genough was true to form. one game, one pick, and one fumble. want to make the excuse that the game was over? pure bs. he needed to do much better and probably had a worse qbr than fitz. and you know what? and not even worthwhile to give him any credit because he's on the way out no matter what. and, by the way, frank reich did it in the music city miracle game. vinny pretty much did it in the monday night miracle game. so please don't say genough should have come in and laid an egg.

Do you really want to listen to that punk blame everyone else after every game? A QB is a leader. Geno is not. End of story.

Last night in 8 minutes Geno refreshed our memories of what he is...couldn't get a play off, burned a time out that most competent teams would have needed for their comeback, fumbled, showed enough athletic ability to frustrate fans, threw the pick. We know what he is. We know what Flitzy is. We don't know what Petty or Hackenhack are. There is too much pain associated with this Godforsaken team, I need something to engage me this season and it is seeing young QB's working with young WR's to see wtf we have. Now, not in week 17. This is clearly turning into an evaluation season. I wouldn't be surprised to see both Geno and Petty get starts this year and for Hack to possibly get some spot duty but I don't see them starting him. I simply can't imagine a team with 4 healthy QBs choosing to start their 4th guy but who knows. I agree, way too much pain watching this team and it's sad to know that we're at least 8 months away from really starting to think about a successful season again. But you can still be engaged and there will be things to watch. I suggest the Knicks.

THings are so bleak they might as well start Petty and work Hacky in. No chance Geno is staying and Fitz has worn out his welcome.

We basically have purge our roster and start from scratch. It's going to take 2-3 years of bottom 10 finishes to fix this. I mean look at our roster. What young exciting player do we have? Mo and Leo that's about it. Richardson probably won't be here much longer. We have a couple nice young WRs in Peake, Anderson, and Marshall, but they're not game changers. Mauldin and Jenkins might develop into ok starters, but they're not a threat to put up 10+ sacks. There's really no young player besides the two I mentioned to be excited about. We basically have to hope one of our two HUGE project QBs turns into something or we're fucked.

It is time to hit the reset button on the franchise and commit to a true rebuild. And, unless we catch lightning in a bottle at the QB position, we are not likely to be competitive until 2018. Sucks, but that is the way I see it too.

I said Richardson is good, but I also said don't expect him to be here much longer. If Bowles stays he's as good as gone, and when his contract is up he's going to want much more than he's worth. As for Lee I'm not high on him. He makes a splash play here and there and gets wiped out every time he's covering the RB, but it's early so I'll give you him. Even including Lee my point still stands. Our future looks pretty bleak unless one of our young project QBs pan out.
