I'd start him sooner rather than later but if we ever get that 8th loss, he must play every remaining game.
Don't love the QB class next year, certainly not with a high first round pick, but they are better than Hack.
If Woody absolutely needs to draft one, I would hope they'd try to trade Hack and let the pick and Petty fight it out.

If he's physically good to go put him in. It's the Browns for Gods sake.

Pray fitz can make it through the season cause the other 2 aren't ready. And the team is ready for them.

Let's ease in Petty aka even see what he's got next year. We're not ready to see if he's shit or not. Need to waste a full year on that.

He's been here for a year and a half already. Right away would have been last year. As I see it he's been through 2 training camps, 2 preseasons, countless practices and held a clipboard/watched 23 NFL games so far. If we're terrified of taking the training wheels off now then when will they ever come off? Expectations aren't high. Geno is hurt, Fitz still looks mediocre at best. Fans would be patient with Petty and accept hiccups along the way. I say as long as he's 100% healthy then get him in there.

I don't think he's had enough time to get p to speed physically from his injury. If he has then sure but probably err on the side of easing especially since we have such a great starter who has restored everyone's belief in him

Personally, assuming Petty is healthy, I START him against the Browns and keep him on a short leash. Things get close then you bring in Fitz who looked better coming off the bench anyway.
