I don't think he's had enough time to get p to speed physically from his injury. If he has then sure but probably err on the side of easing especially since we have such a great starter who has restored everyone's belief in him Seems they want to give him more reps in practice due to the game injury. Its just a shame the first game post bye is the cheats.

If he's physically good to go put him in. It's the Browns for Gods sake. imo i think that's the main issue. he should be ready based on the amount of practice time. his shoulder was banged up over a month ago and it's possible it was worse than it's being made out to be. if he's physically ready then he should go. maybe put him in for mop up against the browns (assuming the jets finally take it to a team) or even start him. once he goes in there's no tuning back.

What I would like to see -- as soon as he is 100% recovered from the shoulder injury, put Petty in there and give him an extended look -- at least 6 games.
What I expect. Fitz is the starter and he will get at least 3 more losses. Once we get to 8 losses, whether that happens in November or December, then it is Petty time. If Fitz has another horrifically bad performance (KC, Seattle type bad) then maybe Petty gets some mop up duty, but I don't expect this staff to start the kid until we are mathematically eliminated.

It always seems these things have a way of working themselves out. You will see Petty get some extended playing time this year but for now I believe it will be Fitz under center. I do agree that it would be ideal to start him against the Browns, but with the current climate on the team, I don't think it will happen. However, should Fitz put on a turnover-fest I would expect to see him, then start the next week.

Honestly I haven't seen enough of Petty to form an opinion and what I have seen him do was against inferior competition. I hope the kid is lights out but I hoped the same thing for all of these bums we have propped up over the years.
On the other hand, I have seen enough of #FUCKFITZ to know that I don't ever want to see him wear green and white again so if that means put in Petty, or Hack or teach Revis how to throw (since he can't cover anymore) then so be it.

If he's physically good to go put him in. It's the Browns for Gods sake. yes but theres no need to throw him at the lions right away...if u ease him in and let him get sped up then u can talk about the last 8 or 6 or 4 games...cause thats the end game and it doesn't matter how we get him there... in this case right away means immediately...

A loss to the Browns is the equivalent of 4 real team losses. So we probably only see Shitz for one more game if we are waiting to get to 8 losses.
