It's what everyone wanted... an "I don't give a shit team" to tank for a draft that doesn't even have a QB. It's exactly what everyone here has been clamoring for... lose the rest of the season for a #3 at best pick. Well you saw an entire "elite" defensive line do nothing, a secondary that looked like it was getting paid for every dolt catch... an O-line that just laid down... an inexperienced QB that smiled at shitty throws and interception..
Not an enjoyable experience, at least for me. Especially when there's nothing to gain in the draft that will turn anything around next year. This is absolutely, completely untrue. Thanks for playing, though.

Fournette would be such a jets pick. Highly overrated RB that would do absolutely nothing here. There is no one in this draft worth sucking for. God why am I a jets fan. You're simply not a true fan if you feel that way. At all.

He is everything you look for in an elite edge rusher. Size, speed, strength, variety of moves. In my opinion, he is as close to NFL ready as you could expect. It is always possible that he busts, but you can say that about anyone you pick -- there are no sure things. I would be happy to take my chances with Garrett -- and I have been a guy that has been screaming that we need to go offense in R1 for the last two or three years. I would not want to move up to get him, but if he fell to us picking say 4 or 5, I would be ecstatic. Garrett looks like a Demarcus Ware clone with the first step of Jevon Kearse.

Why go fournette or Cook and draft Ol? Just look at Dallas they took Elliot and have a stacked OL Elliott is making Dak look like a top level QB no way Dak has the same results with the Jets offense. I think going with Fournette or cook plus rebuilding the OL will allow Petty or HackenBerg to succeed next year. The problem is that this OL class is really weak. The only OT that looks to be worth a top 5 pick has said he's returning to school. However, I think there's a good chance he still comes out, and I'd have no problem taking if he's there. If not you take Cook. You don't pass over potentially elite players for mediocre ones.

Garrett is my top player in the draft and the Browns would have to be the Browns to take a middling QB like Trubisky or Kizer over him.
It's not impossible but I don't see it.
Realistically I see us picking in the 5-8 area.
That's why I'm all aboard the Fournette bandwagon. I love Cook, but RB's with the size, speed and power of Fournette are EXTREMELY rare. Yeah he's more of a two down RB right now, but that's what Peterson has been throughout his career and that hasn't stopped him from becoming arguably the greatest RB of the last 20 years.
We're most likely heading into next season with a kid like Hackenberg at QB unless we trade for someone like Romo (want nothing to do with Cutler). So might as well secure the OL a bit and give the kid a potential monster out of the backfield to hand the ball off to 25 times a game. And Forte will almost surely be sticking around to handle 3rd down duties unless he asks for his release (which I wouldn't blame him).

Firstly, I said so many not all. If I could only type, things like starting the Qb that was never in a pro system or Hammered the shit out of at Penn State what happens if one gets hurt who do we have prior going into the draft I guess no one was listening when they said Petty was far from the field. How a locker room works, O and D are two entirely different entities both literally and figuratively. The D should be called out, however, these O's and St's have not been helping at all they are a big part of the D's success or should play a part. The coach has been at it for 2 years he needs time and help from Gm etc. we need to build some continuity not to mention a OL. Etc.Etc.

Sincerely, The NFL & The New York Jets I think the fact they sent this out today shows how completely incompetent, clueless, hopeless and moronic the entire organization is. You think someone who have raised their hand and said "after last night, maybe we should postpone sending this out the day after such an embarrassing, miserable MNF home game." There is no end or depth to their utter stupidity and failure as a franchise.
