It's what everyone wanted... an "I don't give a shit team" to tank for a draft that doesn't even have a QB. It's exactly what everyone here has been clamoring for... lose the rest of the season for a #3 at best pick. Well you saw an entire "elite" defensive line do nothing, a secondary that looked like it was getting paid for every dolt catch... an O-line that just laid down... an inexperienced QB that smiled at shitty throws and interception..
Not an enjoyable experience, at least for me. Especially when there's nothing to gain in the draft that will turn anything around next year.

Picked the wrong season to tank. The Jets shouldhave tanked last year or the year before when there were actual QBS to draft. Guarantee if they get the first pick they will draft another DL. Just the sheer hell of being a Jets fan.

Assuming we are picking top 5 (seems like a safe assumption after last night) -- the guy I want, as of now, is Myles Garrett. I think he is a longshot to be there when we pick, but if a couple of QBs get overdrafted, maybe we get a shot at him at 3. The two positions we have lacked for so long are QB and edge. Since there do not appear to be any QBs worthy of top 5, Garrett would be ideal.
And just for the record, aside from the week 2 win at Buffalo, there has been nothing enjoyable about this season.

I predicted 6-10 but felt 4-12 was more likely than 8-8. They might not even make 4-12 at this point.
This is much worse than everyone thought it would be. Nobody thought Bowles would be losing his job this year. Most of us felt he had some things he needed to learn but we didnt think it was this bad.
We can't throw and we can't cover. We can barely run the ball. We can't rush the passer. And our coaching has become a negative.

The D line poor performance can be laid entirely at the feet of Mo and Shel. They clearly have attitude issues. The O line and DBs are just populated by bad players. This is a very bad Jet team. Perhaps the lack of effort was, in part, due to a collective recognition of the fact that the players simply are not very talented

It's going to be tough. The only team I think we can jump is the Bears. Even if we do, we have to pray that 2 QBs get overdrafted and someone prefers Allen to Garrett. It's not impossible though, we did get Leo at 6 2 years ago.

I'm scared about guys like him, he could be a game changer like Von Miller or be like randy Gregory or that guy Miami drafted a couple years ago

Size, speed, strength, variety of moves. In my opinion, he is as close to NFL ready as you could expect. It is always possible that he busts, but you can say that about anyone you pick -- there are no sure things. I would be happy to take my chances with Garrett -- and I have been a guy that has been screaming that we need to go offense in R1 for the last two or three years. I would not want to move up to get him, but if he fell to us picking say 4 or 5, I would be ecstatic.

The last thing the Jets need is another defensive player you will have a young QB next year with a 32 year old RB and a weak OL with aging WRS. You go for Cook or fournette then draft OL this offense is in shambles the defense is stacked especially front 7. Last night the team quit nothing to do with talent that falls on Bowles.

Fournette would be such a jets pick. Highly overrated RB that would do absolutely nothing here. There is no one in this draft worth sucking for. God why am I a jets fan.

Tank for cook or fournette , there is a reason to tank . We just need to do hw on OL and get some FA OL. One more offseason of work and I feel like petty could be ready to run the show .

Why go fournette or Cook and draft Ol? Just look at Dallas they took Elliot and have a stacked OL Elliott is making Dak look like a top level QB no way Dak has the same results with the Jets offense. I think going with Fournette or cook plus rebuilding the OL will allow Petty or HackenBerg to succeed next year.
