Gotta love this fucking loser....
Just when you thought this miserable Jets season could not get any worse … defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson filmed a Snapchat video before Saturday night’s game with the Dolphins that is filled with profanity and makes you question how invested he is in the season.
In the video, Richardson is in the locker room and says, “Where the hoes at?” He then says something that is unclear. It could be, “[Bleep] this game” or “[Bleep] this guy.”
Either way, Jets coach Todd Bowles was not pleased with Richardson’s act.
“I was just made aware of it and me and Sheldon will have a conversation very soon,” Bowles said on Sunday morning on a conference call with reporters. “We don’t condone any of that. We’re going to have a discussion and take care of it.”
The Jets are expected to attempt to trade Richardson this offseason. This video won’t help. Richardson was actually a captain for Saturday night’s 34-13 loss to the Dolphins. He has had an awful season both on the field and off of it. He has 1.5 sacks this season and was benched for a quarter against the Dolphins last month for being late to meetings repeatedly.
The question about whether Richardson says “game” or “guy” is significant because the former would call into question his effort, which Bowles defended.
“Sheldon plays hard,” Bowles said. “Inappropriate comments, should have never been said. It’s inexcusable, but he plays hard.”
Bowles was asked if he will discipline Richardson.
“We’ll take care of it here,” he said. “That’s not something we condone or we encourage. That’s unacceptable.”
