That doesn't bode well for his future in Buffalo. If the Jets are adding a vet QB to compete next year, Taylor is at the top of my list if he comes available(which seems likely).

Apparently they are benching him because of an injury clause that would have them on the hook for 30mm. Also, I don't like him. He throws an awesome deep ball but he can't throw a slant route. That being said he's better than what we have. 😀

I don't think Tyrod would be anything other than average, but the thought of him chucking deep balls to Smith, Anderson and Peake is intruiging a bit.

Bastards trying to screw us out of our Top 6 pick.
They want a piece of the pie too, eh?
Not gonna happen

Whaley could easily move on from him and play Manuel who he drafted or Cardale Jones. Or bring in someone new all together.

It would be fun to see what we actually have in our speedsters. Classic jets. Sign two desean Jackson lights and let fitz throw them the ball.

Just illustrating that his contract situation was a big factor in Rex going today V.S. next Monday. I had read that they wanted TT bench for this past weekend.

Not gonna happen Pretty sure we are locked into top 6 -- even if we win and SD loses I think strength of schedule tie breaker gives us the 6 pick. But if we lose, we could jump Chicago, Jax or LA if any of them win.

Tyrod isn't a franchise QB. Sign Glennon and let him Petty and Hack fight it out. Stick some UDFA on the practice squad too. Next years schedule is bad too. This might sound crazy but I would consider trading this years 1st for like a 1 and 2 next year. Get some ammo if we have to move up next year to get a QB. I hear this years crop of QBs suck. Unload Sheldon for whatever you can get for him.

He may be average, but average is so much better than anything we have had here for the last 8 seasons. Average is much better than Sanchez, Clemens, Brunell, Simms, McElroy, Tebow, Smith, Ainge, Vick or Fitz. And average is likely better than what we will get out of Petty or Hack. In his two years in Buffalo, he has 37 TDs, 12 Ints and has completed over 62% of his passes. In the same 2 years, Jets QBs have 47 TDs, 41 Ints, and 58% completions. And his mobility will be a plus as we rebuild the OL. Depending on the contract, I don't think Tyrod would be a bad fit for us. A 27-year old QB who can move in the pocket, takes care of the ball, makes plays with his feet and throws a nice deep ball. I would settle for that.

If we need to trade picks to move up, trade 2019 picks in the 2018 draft.

Tyrod destroyed the Jets in the final game of the 2015 season. Does nobody seem to remember that?
