As you can see, I love the coaching hot stove stuff. I posted this in my other thread, but since it's Jets specific, thought I'd create its own thread.
Multiple people are reporting the Jets will move on from Chan at OC and Rapoport tweeted this little nugget this morning.
It's hard to predict OC's, as there are so many ways someone can go.
I'll throw one name out there that is a complete guess. Tim Downing, Raiders QB coach.

As I said in the other thread, this could be an early hint at our draft plans. Cook or Fournette come on down.

Damn straight
Get someone who will run the ball down teams throats.
Gailey is creative and very good at scheming to get his receivers open, but we need a change.

He would be a great choice if SD goes in another direction. He did a fantastic job in Carolina before SD. He has done well in SD but has been hit hard with injuries this year but the team is still playing hard for him.

ESPN reporting that he is likely to be let go.

That would be a home run if he becomes available.

Not happy Chan is the escape-goat here, he's a good offensive mind who gets the best out of trash like Fitz etc.
I also don't think a system change is good for Hack or Petty's development learning a new system again this early in their careers. If we're keepin Bowles and Macc then stay with the continuity theme.
I know Chan has made some frustrating calls like passing on 3rd and short and not running inside the 10 but I still think he's a decent OC and he's not had much to work with Bowles chopping and changing QB's, losin Deck and line injuries.
If we are gonna make s change them I'd go for Norv.

Why aren't we starting a DC thread? He's more of a problem than Gailey. Gaily's a good OC thats been hampered by awful QB play.

But if they make a change, I'd be interested to see if Kevin Patullo is a consideration. Hackenberg and Petty would benefit. Mac might be in favor of continuity for his two drafted QBs.

I think it's pretty obvious there is a philosophy difference between Bowles and Gailey, and that is the main reason for the change.

I don't get that though if Bowles went out and picked Gailey himself. Didn't he? Was he surprised with how he runs an offense out of nowhere? But yeah, Mike McCoy. All the way. Wade Philips for DC. Even though he's what, 98 yrs old now?

If they're really dead set on running the ball and utilizing the TE...Fournette in Round 1, Bucky Hodges in Round 2.
