I'm glad they killed the fucker who shot him. Needs to be more of that. Srsly....please do not connect Stevens death with this sort of un-informed conjecture; Shavod Jones was released from jail and immediately returned to the same sort of street-thuggery he was engaged in prior to his imprisonment for trying to kill Steven. He was a passenger on a motorcycle in East Harlem terrorizing the local residents by doing wheelies down the street in the middle of the day...the operator lost control causing the bike to hit parked cars....causing Shavods well-deserved death. There it is. So enough of the nonsense.

He's actually being waked in Rockville Centre in the Parish Center today and tomorrow, then funeral mass at St. Pats on Fri. Steve and Patti lived in Malverne but would regularly attend mass at St. Agnes in RVC.

I remember that like it was yesterday for some reason, probably because of the amazing life he led afterward RIP Amazing? None of us would have traded places with him, ever. We can't understand God's plans, the officers picture should be next to the encyclopedia entry for "shit hand"; it was a cruel destiny to survive an execution and suffer as greviously he did every day for decades before still dying relatively young.

Not sure Jetswin meant truly "amazing" like he grew up with massive wealth and good looks and health. Amazing given the shit hand he was dealt. Obviously no one would trade places with him. But most everyone similarly situated might have fallen into the depths of despair. Not led the life he did dealing with said shit hand. Context. Common. _

Methinks you are uninformed as to Stevens life post-shooting: Jetswin is abso-fvcking-lutely correct here...Steven did indeed contemplate his own death after the shooting...spoke of wishes to pull the plug even as Patti was pregnant with their son Conor. It really was too much for him. He was done. But..as often happens in life...the light of Gods love shone down...he regained his perspective..forgave Shavad Jones and became a tireless spokesman for the power of forgiveness, giving hundreds of speech's over 30 years, haltingly, and sometimes agonizingly delivered in Stevens unique style...Patti..his wife...Conor...his son..a testimony to his strength and faith. I know this personally. If you're around and bored tomorrow, his wake continues in Rockville Centre, St. Agnes...the turn-out today was ridiculous, a true spectacle media-wise and other... His funeral will be at St. Pats in Manhattan fri. morning at 930...Come by and feel the good karma and love. And this is coming from one of the nastiest, biggest scumbags on this site. Me. Welcome.
