he was a super nice guy...he and his wife came to my cousins Blaines funeral in Rockville Center a few years...just great people...RIP... He's actually being waked in Rockville Centre in the Parish Center today and tomorrow, then funeral mass at St. Pats on Fri. Steve and Patti lived in Malverne but would regularly attend mass at St. Agnes in RVC. That's about a 3 hour round trip. Impressive man. RIP

Amazing? None of us would have traded places with him, ever. We can't understand God's plans, the officers picture should be next to the encyclopedia entry for "shit hand"; it was a cruel destiny to survive an execution and suffer as greviously he did every day for decades before still dying relatively young. Methinks you are uninformed as to Stevens life post-shooting: Jetswin is abso-fvcking-lutely correct here...Steven did indeed contemplate his own death after the shooting...spoke of wishes to pull the plug even as Patti was pregnant with their son Conor. It really was too much for him. He was done. But..as often happens in life...the light of Gods love shone down...he regained his perspective..forgave Shavad Jones and became a tireless spokesman for the power of forgiveness, giving hundreds of speech's over 30 years, haltingly, and sometimes agonizingly delivered in Stevens unique style...Patti..his wife...Conor...his son..a testimony to his strength and faith. I know this personally. If you're around and bored tomorrow, his wake continues in Rockville Centre, St. Agnes...the turn-out today was ridiculous, a true spectacle media-wise and other... His funeral will be at St. Pats in Manhattan fri. morning at 930...Come by and feel the good karma and love. And this is coming from one of the nastiest, biggest scumbags on this site. Me. Welcome. I appreciate your comments, it's true myself being a lapsed Catholic turned off by certain local parish (in)actions and somewhat out of the ecclesiastical loop - completely opposed to the current Commie antiChrist Pope and the tacit support given to illegal parasites and bogus refugees by Catholic institutions and only tangentially associated with NYPD\NYFD (one of my brother's father in law was very high ranking NYFD, passed on around the time of McDonald's shooting) I just knew him as a victim, and outside of his NY Rangers association wasn't really aware of his post-injury activities, speaking engagements, their content or the volume thereof, which for his effort alone should be applauded and yes, truly is amazing. How many of us would be so forgiving? :dunno: The forgiveness Steven MacDonald gave to the misnomered "Buddha" is a great example for us all. However I am loathe to refer to the false gods of Eastern religions or karma. What did Det. McDonald do in his life to deserve his suffering? He was meant to live and give us this powerful message of forgiveness time and again, "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us"

He did things most could never consider and in that respect an amazing individual.

I'm glad they killed the fucker who shot him. Needs to be more of that. This from the guy who constantly says cops overstep their bounds. Pick a position dude. Hey fatboy, I am all about JUSTICE of it. This fucker was not innocent. And neither are a lot of the idiots who may get killed by cops. If you pull a gun on a cop you deserve to get shot. What I don't approve of is people getting murdered for doing nothing wrong, with no violent records, because of some power-tripping psychopath who has no business wearing a badge. You don't fucking pay attention, not surprising for a delusional FLATS fan. I have family who are cops. They know how I feel about it.

I don't like rapists and kiddy diddlers and hell raising thugs like New England Patriots own Aaron Hernandez. Especially the ones who are proud of the fucked up shit they do. Let them all die. Thin the herd. Has nothing to do with who I like or don't, jerky. Has everything to do with what they are doing/done. If some fuck trys to grab my cousins gun I hope he (cuz) blows a few holes in the degenerats face. Get the real criminals out of here.

I suppose you are just trying to encourage discussion, but The Hitman never implied the cops should murder anyone. I value your presence here that helps balance an overwhelming conservative presence on this forum, but cummon.

I am a firm believer in separation between those who do the policing and those who do the prosecuting, yes. Not a fan of actual trials? More of a Robocop fan?

The "justice" system is a fucking joke and you know it. There is NO justice and there are multiple sets of rules depending on your tax bracket. And the New England Patriots* own Aaron Hernandez should be dead... RIGHT NOW.
