Just bite the bullet and start Hack in 2017. If he sucks, it will only help the Jets in the long run since the 2018 draft should have more than one franchise QB and will be far better than this QB class.

We will know nothing next year except another piss poor record. A piss poor record for sure. However I will gladly accept that record if Petty or Hack shows they are "The Guy". Hell Id take a shitty record for 3 years if they rebuild correctly, 1 of them shows they are "The Guy" and they build a serious contender for years to come. I don't think you'll know that after 16 starts or less.

Add a moderately priced veteran QB. Hold competition between Vet, Hack and Petty. Start the best one in 2017. We're not a Super Bowl team anyway. I want no QB in Round 1. Stay put and take BPA (likely a CB, OLB or RB) or trade down for an extra pick. This is the worse QB class in decades Mac would be cutting his own throat if he drafted a QB in the first. It would also would mean that they made a mistake on HackenBerg it would literally be the end of Mac.

Sign a veteran backup, a no name, and just let Hack sink or swim. We'll either see we got something or it'll put us in place for a much better QB class next year like you said. It's fool proof! ....unless he plays average and gives us a 7-9 season with the 13th pick and we don't know if we should move on or keep trying. Also meaning this years 1st round pick should absolutely be an offensive weapon. Give that dude some help in anyway.

I can not imagine a scenario wherein Hackenberg QB's THIS Jets team to a 7-9 record against the teams on next years schedule and does not show himself to potentially be the long term answer at QB.

in respect to Hack...i remember the tired excuse that Geno wasn't ready...so if the Jets think its wise to hold Hack i don't see any issue...i could also see Petty winning the job and seeing what we got and have Hack watch for another year...

This class has some talented QBs but none worth 1st round picks. _

Positive news that seems entirely plausible. So don't expect to read about any of it from our beat writers. yeah, instead, we get a story about how Quinn could have been our coach and everything would be different. How about NO? Fuckin Post sports staff fuckin with our heads again

All the jets need to do is draft an ocean as the new starting WR and hack can hit him everytime. Oh wait, they said he can't hit an ocean. Scratch that, draft a lake or sea as the new WR and we're all good. F hack and f the jets. They'll draft an iceberg who can't catch as our new starting TE in the first round. He'll be perfect for the weather in Nome.
