Bowles seemed to despise JK first time around, and practically chased him out of the building. I think it was more Gailey that hated him.

Jeremy Kerley visiting the Jets today, per PFT. Interesting development. Bowles seemed to despise JK first time around, and practically chased him out of the building. I always thought he was a good player. Certainly better than Peake. Not sure how I would feel about this one. If I knew one of the young guys was going to start most of the season, then I would be all for bringing in Kerley to give a young QB another experienced target. But if McCown is going to play most of the season, what is the point. I would rather see how some of the young WRs develop without Kerley bumping them down the depth chart. And my recollection is similar to Rob -- Gailey is the one who didn't like Kerley. Feel bad for Kerley. This is the second time he signed an extension only to get released by the team extending him.

Meh. He has millions of reasons to not care.

I think we now have 8 WR's on the roster. Mac is a genius. And no FB, with Howsare gone. Looks like Tye will have a big role as an H-Back/FB hybrid. We just signed another TE, so maybe one of those 8 WRs (Peake, Stringfellow) was waived with the hope of flipping them to the PS. But yeah...8 WRs, none of them upper-tier guys. With the active roster added to IR, PS and suspended lists, I think we now have 14 WRs under contract.
