i went with marrone. i'm a little tired of these first time nfl head coaches the jets have had. marrone seems to have accomplished enough with syracuse and buffalo to merit the job. the downside is he walked from his team but who knows, maybe he was unsure about the management just like the bellichicken. he also did well enough without a qb. beating the rex jets in detroit is also something to consider.
and he's a ny guy.

I guess Quinn is my number 1 with Marrone a close second. Agreed and Bowles would be my 3rd choice.

I'd trade a 3rd.... In 2016 for Chip Kelly. Conditional pick. On winning the SB?

Does anybody really feel that one of these guys will take us to our first SB in 45 years? I'm pretty sure Patriots fans were asking themselves the same question when BB showed up with his stellar 36-44 record.

I'm still holding out hope for adam gase. We need a modern offence You're better off hiring Peyton Manning to be HC b/c he's the real coordinator on that team. Wtf is Gase teaching him? Manning pretty much calls all the plays too. Somebody will make the mistake of hiring him though. Hopefully the Bills, they set up an interview with him.

After reading the Post article today with all the Marrone love from Curtis Martin, Mawae, and Moore I may have to rethink my order. Lot of respect for these guys opinions. Sorry but I don't know how to post the article.

Marrone for me. For those who say Rex is a better head coach, c'mon man...those Sunday game threads on JI were brutal with questioning Rex's head coaching acumen, he's a defensive coordinator not a head coach, his team's don't have discipline, he can't manage the clock, his team's can't adjust during the game, Rex is not serious enough and promoting the "circus" atmosphere, etc, etc.
I think Marrone is more head-coach ready than anyone else. It's a change of scenery for all, he'll hopefully have a new GM to establish a relationship with. If we can get him the right personnel, I think he'd have the best chance of not fucking it up. If Rex wins somewhere else, its because he learned his lesson here (something you almost never do in your existing job). You can't play that "what if" game, it doesn't work.
I'm ready for the post-Rex era, whatever it may bring.

Bowles, Quinn, Marone. My dark horse would be Todd Haley. He didnt do as bad in KC as folks make it out to be. Led them to the playoffs his second year. Was fired at 5-8 during an injuy marred season. Has done well with Pittsburgh and i think his 3 years as OC there has taught him quite a bit. His work ethic has always been phenomenal. He is a disciplinarian, an offensive minded coach who is a whiz with receivers. He has ties to the organization having coached here under Parcells. Dude deserves another chance. We should definitely look at him.
