About to go roast a chicken. Think I'll spatchcock it. Oooh, that sounds hot. Probably do some sort of salad and cauliflower "mashed potatoes" fortified with sour cream and butter. Love the cock. I have an 8 x 8 paver that I cover in foil to smash it down. _ Came out great. raining like a muther-fucker so did it in the oven. Perfect rub and texture in about half the time of cooking a bird standing up. Also, gotta thank my BIL who was doing Keto and turned me on to those cauliflower mashed "potatoes". They are fantastic. You'd swear you were eating authentic mashed potatoes. Secret is the addition of Kerry Gold butter and Daisy sour cream.

I should also have added that an immersion blender really gets them creamy smooth.

Sopne moving into NYC this weekend, last meal home tonite (and we'll officially be empty nesters).
Tagliata di Manzo.
Massive bone in ribeyes marinating in garlic, rosemary, balsamic and EVOO.
Going to sear them on a smoking hot cast iron pizza skillet on the grill.
Sliced off the bone over baby arugula, light lemon vinaigrette and cherry tomatoes topped with shaved parm reggiano.
Chianti Classico.
And watch the Jets continue the tank.

It won't last forever, but all through the Summer and Fall I've been getting incredible organic garlic from my local farm stand. The bulbs are so tight that they require several good raps to free the cloves. And the taste/aroma? Incredible. I'm dreading having to eventually go back to supermarket garlic. But I usually can find American garlic pretty easily.

Just opened this up (2016 version). Well rated and priced at my Bottle King. Very nice wine. Think I'm digging it a lot.

As an update, the wine kept getting better as I let it breathe. Lots of dry fruit with no jam or the harshness that non-Argentine malbecs impart. My wife loved it so much that I think it's going to be our Thanksgiving wine. Have not heard of the Vivino app. Will check it out. Thanks.

lol She's a keeper. Whoa...the brunette on the right is a thick gal (according to some here), but she would fit very nicely into my "Surprised Librarian" scenario. Glazzes, conservative skirt, white blouse...quizzical look on her face when she's just locked the doors for the night and hears a noise amongst the stacks. "Is...somebody there?".

Now my shorts and undergarments are absolutely sodden. I need to get out of them right away. Promise you won't look whilst I change over by the next stack." And anybody thinking that chick is "thick" is gay.

Cracked a bottle of Bogle Essential Red 2016. Delicious, and only like $10 a bottle.
