www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/regrading-the-2014-nfl-draft-raiders-prove-brilliant-with-mack-carr-picks/Pete Prisco regrades the 2014 draft. New York Jets2014 grade: CThe skinny: They had 12 picks, but of those 12 only two are projected starters in 2017. One is first-round safety Calvin Pryor, but he is on notice after they took safeties with their first two picks this year and peddled him around the league. The other is receiver Quincy Enunwa, who has developed into a nice player after being a sixth-round pick. The rest of the class has provided little. Third-round corner Dexter McDougle is a backup who enters this season on shaky ground, while fourth-round guard Dakota Dozier is also a backup who made two starts last season. They missed big on second-round tight end Jace Amaro, who was let go and is now in Tennessee. How I did: I liked the idea of taking Pryor in the first round, and made him the best pick. I questioned taking Amaro in the second, and that proved to be true. My third-day gem was fourth-round receiver Jalen Saunders, but he did little and was released in 2015 and has bounced around the league since. This was a terrible draft. New grade: F

Rot in hell Johnny.

No different than all of our drafts since 2007. Just a bunch of terrible picks.

fucking jerkoff didn't even leave the team in financial soundness which was supposedly his strong point Actually, he did leave us with $50MM cap space heading into 2015. Plenty of space for Macc to sign Revis, Cro, Gilchrist, Skrine and Carpenter plus enough space to acquire the contracts of Fitz and Marshall in trade. Two years later only 2 of the 7 guys are still on the roster.

I think he is a better talent evaluator than Idzik, but then again, you & I and most everyone else on this site might be better evaluators than Idzik. But I am not convinced that he really understands how to build a team -- its not just about amassing talent. After 3 drafts and 3 seasons of FA, we head into the 3rd year of his regime with huge questions at the most important positions in the game: Who will be our QB, do we have an edge rusher, Can Beachum and Claiborne bounce back from injury and be solid starting LT and CB. Is Forte over the hill, can Powell carry the load as a feature back? Can any of our young WRs develop into a true WR1? At this point, I have no choice but to wait and see how this season plays out. But if we finish the season with the same questions at the 6 most important positions in the game: WR, Edge, CB1, RB1, WR1 & LT, then he will have earned the shitbag label.

This is his 3rd full off-season. 3 years of roster changes, 3 years of drafts, and 3 years of free agency.... Maccagnan has built this team the way he envisioned. and In those 3 years he has built us into what many people consider THE WORST ROSTER IN THE NFL... When we finish in last place, and get the number 1 pick, ask yourself this. Do you trust him to make that pick.

Mac may turn out to be a shit bag, but there is one real excuse. He isn't in charge. The GM's responsibilities are limited. Bowles doesn't answer at all to him. It's a bad situation. One guy has got to be in charge, and right now it looks like Bowles has more authority ... he decides who plays.
