He and Sean Salisbury had some pretty good banter back in the day. They were First Take before First Take was First Take and actually good.

Salisbury's only rebuttal to Clayton was by asking him if he ever put on a helmet and shoulder pads. It was pretty funny to watch. |

Hopefully he can be replaced by another guy who starts every sentence with "I mean"...because we need that.
At least I dont have to shout "Nanoo-Nanoo, I am from Space!!!!!" every time he comes on anymore. So I have that going for me, which is nice.

Much like the Jets, ESPN needs to fire everyone and do a complete rebuild. Then they actually might be good in 3 or 4 years. Their idea is to fire a bunch of reporters and shift "anchor assignments to make every SportsCenter slot even more tied to the personality of the host." That's what made me start hating ESPN. They think their on air personalities are a big part of the show. So every douchebag tries to be witty and come up with dooshy catchphrases. I used to love sportcenter but I basically never watch it anymore and when I do, it reminds me why I don't watch it. |
