Plus, I cant imagine millennials cooking much. Maybe mom still makes them dinner because they're 25 and living at home.

I have what I would call 4 millenials, 6 if you count husbands/significant others (ages 22 to 28). 5 out of 6 of them cook nearly every night during the week, some of the most interesting things I've never even thought of. The last one doesn't cook because she's still at home and I do the cooking. I'm sure a lot of millenials are incompetent self absorbed boobs. But not all of them. A lot of kids these days watch the Food Network or see recipes on Instagram or Facebook or in food blogs and, quite frankly, enjoy making new and different stuff- and tbh healthier stuff. And are no longer into fast foods. _

Its how I learned to cook. Other guys I know went from living at home to living with a gf or wife, and never cooked. To each their own.

I learned some basic Italian cooking from my Mom but when I was in college I worked as a waiter at a French restaurant in Cuse where we prepared a lot of dishes table side. Pretty much my last 2 years and all through law school I experimented every night, roommates bought the food and I cooked. When I met my wife she was an AWFUL cook which suited me do she never picked up a kitchen utensil. _

Not sure where all this high and mighty attitude is coming from. In my era of the 60s and 70s, most men and women lived at home until they got married or lived together. That meant that Mom still did all the cooking while the kids were at home. Why? She did not want a-holes messing up the kitchen and Dad did not want to eat anyone's cooking but that of the Mom's.

Replaced by sushi, healthy options, and things like Indian food.

That was a long time ago! Of course, Im a bit jaded because my dad passed when I was 22, so I didn't have the luxury to rely on mom and dad like some.

Other than when I was away at school, I lived at home. Moved out after grad school. The thought that I would cook in my Mom's kitchen (or any of the women her age) is laughable. You might help by making the antipasto platters on Sunday. But that was about it. And no patience to teach, either. lol Sorry about your loss. That was a long time ago! I don't think it's just the Millennials. Most people have woken up to the fact that big companies produce bad food.
Those rat cunt shareholders who care about nothing but the bottom line need someone to blame now they can't poison people.
I actually love junk food but I would rather kill myself saving a few pennies.

I cook everything for my family from scratch. Virtually no processed bullshit either.

Something in the Colonel's 23 spices gives me the trots. The same (though not as severe) holds true for McDonalds and Burger King. Five Guys seems to work for me, although if I crave a burger, I will generally just make it myself.

The restaurant philosophy is to make sure you feel full after dining. That means it's loaded up with salt, starch and fats. Fast food also has tons of additives, which probably are the reason you don't feel well after eating it. Look, I've eaten a boatload of fast food and other garbage in my life. I just prefer to cook my own food now. I know the ingredients and the effects on the health of my family.
