No joke, I eat out like two or three times a year (much to the chagrin of my wife). I cook everything for my family from scratch. Virtually no processed bullshit either. I've found that I can't digest most fast food. Nothing will send me to the bathroom faster than KFC. Something in the Colonel's 23 spices gives me the trots. The same (though not as severe) holds true for McDonalds and Burger King. Five Guys seems to work for me, although if I crave a burger, I will generally just make it myself. Burger King and KFC are my only remaining vices but alas I must give up on KFC. 9 hotwings and im on the bog all day next day. This is surprising because I cook loots of Mexican food at home with anything up to habanero and can survive. I'm guessing one of those secret spices is potassium hydroxide. The only reason i eat BK is because its the only choice where I live, and they produce a prototypical burger

The restaurant philosophy is to make sure you feel full after dining. That means it's loaded up with salt, starch and fats. Fast food also has tons of additives, which probably are the reason you don't feel well after eating it. Look, I've eaten a boatload of fast food and other garbage in my life. I just prefer to cook my own food now. I know the ingredients and the effects on the health of my family. I could not agree more. I buy ingredients and make food. I do not buy food. My kids called me a food snob. I won't eat or serve crap. Now that they are young adults they appreciate the fact that I was a food snob as they cook most of their own stuff as well. Sopne wants to learn how to do my Marinara and pink sauces. They have a ton of foods they will not order out. They will compare it to mine and be disappointed and ripped off.

Think they made them to order. If there wasn't a diner around, it was my go to burger. As for the KFC: That intense of a reaction would point me to a food allergy/sensitivity. Maybe the oil or one of the chemicals?

He's home for the Summer from college and is eating like a king. Costing us a fortune keeping the fucker fed. lol

Makes me feel like I still have that visceral connection to his life. Plus, I really enjoy cooking for my family. Kid stays up all night. Next morning I see containers with all of my leftovers either in the dishwasher or sink.

Maybe the oil or one of the chemicals? I can't imagine I have an allergy, I eat anything, anytime, anyplace...... to a point. I have travelled all over the world and the first thing I ask is to try the local stuff. I have very few hates in food too if its served to me I will eat it, moms and grannies love me. Im guessing they use a chemical to synthesise the spice and this is what my body won't handle it. Ive eaten some pretty spicey food in my time and survived it, although im not one of those people who eats competitively hot stuff. I live in Spain and the idea of fast food in the small town I inhabit is just non existent. McDonalds and BK were forced to open on an industrial estate outside of the town and refused permits for the centre. BK actually do home delivery and thats the second reason I use them. if i had to walk there it would be pointless.
