Thats the thing, its never been about Suck for Sam. Its Suck for whoever winds up being the best available QB in the draft. Darnold doesnt come out, there will be other options, assuming they suck enough. Agreeed. But suck for Sam has a catchy ring to it so I'll roll with it. Joke for Josh? Malodor for Mason? Last Place for Lamar? All Losses for Allen? see what I mean....it just works. Yup. Plenty of options. If we cannot Suck for Sam, we still also Reek for Rudolph or Lose for Luke. We don't have to be all in on Sam.

Not to be too much of a homer but here is the best scenario of all. Hackenberg emerges as a true starting QB with the ability to consistently take the Jets deep into the playoffs. The plan to let him sit for a year pays off and the Jets have their future QB. Under this scenario, the Jets don't have to worry who will be there, who's staying in college or finishing as the runner up to the first pick. It's about time the Jets have a few things go their way and let karma balance out after years of being kicked in the nuts.

according to Bleacher report ..." ... The Jets, who weren't good to begin with before parting ways with key veteran contributors Ryan Fitzpatrick, Nick Mangold, Darrelle Revis, Brandon Marshall, David Harris, Eric Decker and Calvin Pryor, will be lucky to win more than a game or two in 2017.
We know it. They know it. This is a tank-job. The silver lining is that the Jets recognize they aren't a contender and are clearly trying to rectify that. Luckily, the NFL season spans only four months. Imagine having to watch this team for 30-plus weeks. You're always better off cheering for the worst team in football than the worst team in baseball ..."
