Guess the Jets haven't been too impressed with their fringe Safeties.
The injury to Miles probably a factor too.
Dex has played well in pre-season. Good luck to him.

That plus losing Middleton in the first preseason game. Draft safeties in the first and second round, and then we still need to trade for another one. Only the Jets.

McDougle was finally coming around, so of course.

McDougle was finally coming around, so of course. He will also only be an RFA after the year. If he breaks out, the Iggles can tender him and keep him or get a draft pick if he goes elsewhere. So, with our luck, I expect a Pro Bowl level emergence from Dex. Brooks, on the other hand, will be unrestricted after the season.

On top of that, McDougle was beginning to look like he could be a replacement for Skrine -- a lousy, overpaid nickel who is due $8.5MM next season. Would have been nice to see to give McD this season to show if he could be a better, cheaper & younger alternative. And reports from Eagles camp are that Brooks was likely to be cut in Philly anyway.

This will open up a roster spot for Dee Milliner.

This is so weird.
I am starting to seriously doubt this front office.

Meh, just a sideways move, McDougle always showed glimpses of talent, then he gets hurt.

This is so weird. I am starting to seriously doubt this front office. _ Starting to? Ever since the 2nd round of his first draft I've doubted this FO. And, every single pick since has sucked just as bad. The sorry state of the roster shows his FO is clueless. At this point in time, Macc may be worse than idzik. 2 completely incompetent GMs in a row. Death knell of (or how to kill) a franchise.

Adams and Mayes look solid, they need depth at Safety so they traded a CB that would have been lucky to make the team.
