Did McCown even take a snap in any preseason game yet? 9 snaps. One 8 play drive with a play offset by penalty. Against Tennessee week 1. Enough to make him the highest rated passer in the NFL this preseason. 3/4 72 yards and a TD. 156.2 passer rating. Best QB in the league so far in 2017.

Even sadder when you consider that the guy who is 2-20 over the last 3 years "gives us the best chance to win".

"best chance to win" LMAAAOOO With a nascent team you have to limit mistakes. Bowles: "Gentlemen...as a nascent team, you have to limit mistakes". Team:

It doesn't get much worse than having a 38 year old washed up career back up QB starting the season. There really isn't anything worth watching this season, why should any Jet fan waste any energy following this team this year? It's hands down the worst offensive roster in the league, and it isn't even close. Draft position and who the new HC and GM will be should be the only relevant topics going forward.

It's gonna be 2015 all over again. Draft at 14.

I am not the least bit surprised that McCown was named the starter and, as much as most of us hate it, Bowles cannot look at the veterans on the team and say, with a straight face, that Petty or Hack give the team the best chance to win. Bowles job is to win games whether we like it or not. It's probably going to cost him his job because, even with McCown, we are not winning more than 2-3 games this year. McCown (and Petty) are also both pretty injury prone, so we are bound to start Hack at some point. The minute Hack starts games, we are losing out for the remainder of the season because he is utter dogshit.
Jax and Miami at home are pivotal games because I can conceptually see the Jets winning those games. If we lose those 2 games, we could enter week 6 at 0-5.
We are picking top 3 next year guys. The only team that scares me is San Francisco, they may actually be worse.

Doesn't matter, With the play of the O Line, I wouldn't be surprised if McCown is on IR after the first quarter of play in Buffalo.

San Fran and Buffalo both have WAY more ammo to trade up if need be, the Jets can't allow themselves to draft behind both of those two teams.

The only way that Buffalo or Frisco draft before the jets is if the Jets trade back.

It's gonna be 2015 all over again. Draft at 14. But at least our offense will have been able to grow with a capable QB. That's what matters most here.
