Holy shit the NFL is fucked.
Running an NFL paid for spot "Inside These Lines" which is the most pro-American spot ever filmed with flag symbolism and rah rah patriotism.
Whilst their pieces of shit thugs crap on the flag and the National anthem.
Hahahahahaaaaa Goodell is such a tool.

Did you see that the Steelers entire team (except 1) stayed in the locker room during the national anthem to protest Trump's comments? Tomlin said they were showing unity as a team and not being treated equally and such. What garbage. The one who came out to the field is a former Army Ranger, I can't remember his name. I hate the Steelers even more now, and Goodall is an ass.

I'm close to just dropping the NFL entirely and sticking strictly to college ball.
Hell, if we miss out on one of the top QB's next year and the Jets are stuck toiling with McCown or some other such scrub for the foreseeable future...that may be precisely what I do.

Army Ranger Alejandro Villaneuva. It is important that we do remember his name. Alejandro Villaneuva.

I wonder how much of the owners support for the players is motivated by the fact that the owners have a new labor contract to negotiate soon?
Jerry Jones has told his players that if you don't stand for the anthem don't plan on being a cowboy. That doesn't get much press. Wonder why?
One final note. It is not a free speech issue. Your employer can regulate your speech while you are on the clock. Only the government is precluded from regulating free speech. The media that calls this a free speech issue are idiots.

The only time people rally around Jerry Jones is because they know he opens his wallet in a crowd. No NFL employer is going to take such a stance about flag salutes, when TENS OF MILLIONS of dollars are being spent to WIN THIS FUCKING GAME.

Except jerry jones never said that. Can't say it's an exact quote, but I have a friend who works for the cowboys. Before this season started and the current shit storm hit, he told me during the preseason that on the orders of Jerry Jones no one was permitted to kneel. Also, I was thinking, if the owners are so supportive of players on this issue, why doesn't Colin Kapernick have a job?

Also jumped on the opportunity to distract from the Aaron Hernandez CTE news.

Just watch in the next CBA the players will be granted some meaningless "right" to protest while the owners are focused on money.

Once one let out a statement it was a chain reaction and social media was "waiting for the next one". Even the new Jets owner put one out but it was barely a statement at all. It was more of...here look I did it. Now shut up. Kap has no job because no one in their right mind wants that national attention on their time while they're trying to win ya know...actual football games.

It's just pitiful that the protesting players are such saps that they don't realize they are standing arm in arm with the guys they viewed as the enemy just the day before.
