In spite of the Jets possibly winning too many games and possibly missing out on Darnold or Rosen there are some good things happening here, in spite of Bowles coaching. The offensive line has put together a couple of solid games. The young receivers, are playing well and seem to be getting better. The veterans, Seferian-Jenkins, Kerley and Kearse are also playing well. The running backs are doing their job, with the always reliable Bilal Powell and an emerging Elijah McGuire. The kicking game has been solid, despite a couple kicking and punting miscues against the Jags. Finally, McCown has been a unifying force for the team. Despite some mistakes and holding on to the ball too long he has been a pleasant surprise. I'm not trying to be overly optimistic but there are some good things happening on the team with some young players and a smattering of motivated veterans.

Good post but surely the development of young players on the practice field and team chemistry is down to good coaching?
I'm starting to think the Bowles we see on the sideline and in the media is a complete different animal to the man the players see.

I just meant he's playing better than I expected. The problem with that is obvious, if he continues to play well, when do the Jets evaluate Petty and Hack?

No expectations this year so it looks like I'm gonna enjoy the hell out of this season. At 3-2 I can actually dream about the playoffs.

The Bad; Muhammad Wilkerson DI MUHAMMAD WILKERSON, 36.4 OVERALL GRADE Wilkerson has been toiling of late, and his effort was particularly questionable against the Jaguars. He appeared unwilling to battle double teams, regularly finding himself blown off the ball. As a pass-rusher he managed just the solitary hurry, taking his season total to 7 hurries, 0 hits and 0 sacks on the year.

We'll still lose enough to draft Lamar.
