Looking for some advice on places to stay and where not to stay, might not even bother with the headache of renting a car and just taking shuttles, something with a decent pool.
Might need to get a pic with a turkey leg on a gastropod mobile

Last 3 years took my kids to a Disneyworld followed by a week Disney Cruise. Its not the happiest place on earth. I'm Disney-d out. Told them if they ever wanna go to Disney again go with their mom...or Fishooked.

We stayed at Boardwalk and it was great. Quick walk to Epcot and a leisurely walk to Hollywood Studios. We took the shuttle to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom and to other hotels for Chef Mickey and Cinderella dinners. It's easy to get around. Kid's might like the ferry to Epcot or Hollywood, but I found it easier to walk. Scooters everywhere.

Told them if they ever wanna go to Disney again go with their mom...or Fishooked. Their first trip was when they were around 6 & 4....they are older now, so they'll probably want to bypass the Magic Kingdom madness, which is fine by me. We were looking at places near the Downtown Disney area, I think.

It's the Portofino Hotel at Universal, that's the place you want to go with kids that aren't tykes, or just adults

For future reference, what age is the cutoff for Disney? For me it's not so much an age cutoff as it is a wallet cutoff. Only reason we're doing this is we've been using Disney Visa to accrue points the last several years, so we basically have to use them this year or we lose them.

Thank God my offspring were never in to Disney.
I have cousins who take their kids every year. All they do is complain on facebook the entire time they're there.

Grand Floridian looks like the nicest of the resort hotels, think it's modeled after a hotel here in San Diego the hotel de Coronado.
Beach club looked cool think 32 green stayed there
Check out the treetop villas at the aaratoga springs resort...they looked cool
