Mary Kay Cabot @marykaycabot 2m2 minutes ago #Browns OC Kyle Shanahan has talked to Browns owner Jimmy Haslam and they are parting ways after only one season, source says Well there you have it.... The Jets definitely need to look into this...even as a possible head coach. I like the idea of Shanahan here.

He seems like someone who's had success as an OC for long enough and should start making the lists of possible HC candidates.

Shanny's system will give Geno a good chance to look like an NFL quarterback. And don't nail me to the stake, but as it stands right now Geno could be starting again next season.....he'll def be on the roster and in the picture

Yep KS is out of Cleveland, though if dad gets a HC position he could go back to work for him... espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12136623/offensive-coordinator-kyle-shanahan-leaving-cleveland-brownsOffensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan and the Cleveland Browns have agreed to part ways Thursday, a source confirmed to ESPN.com. Reports surfaced Wednesday that Shanahan was considering other options after he had soured on the job amid friction among the coaching staff and front office. Shanahan is among several candidates to fill the head-coaching vacancy with the Buffalo Bills. Quarterbacks coach Dowell Loggains also will leave the Browns, sources confirmed to ESPN.com. FoxSports.com earlier reported the story. The Bills, San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders already have interviewed Mike Shanahan and would consider hiring the father-son duo with Mike as head coach and Kyle as offensive coordinator, Cleveland.com reported Wednesday.

Just a feeling for me more than anything concrete I have against the guy....Not sure if he has the "leader of Men" characteristic an HC should have....

Yes, I read that this morning that he has resigned ... which is strange suggesting a mutual parting of the ways. One would worry about friction but it's good news for the Jets and purportedly the Bills, who are considering him for hc. It surprises he about the friction, even though Jets fan like to piss and moan about Pettine he doesn't strike me as a pain to work with the exception of being intolerant of coaches who can't coach.

That whole situation is a giant shitshow. Supposedly the owner was texting play call suggestions to the coaches during games.LOL And people think that Woody is a meddling owner. holy shit lol HI-LARIOUS! the Hampur should be given play-calling responsibilities for a drive in each half.

It doesn't surprise me at all This is the Browns that we're talking about. It was even reported that their owner Jimmy Haslam was texting play call suggestions to the coaches on the sideline. That's fucking ridiculous and is the very definition of a meddlesome owner.

Mind you as a fan, that is my ultimate fan fantasy - you get to buy a team and then you get to text the OC on the sideline with a couple plays a game - "don't give me motherfuckin screen pass, throw the bomb or you're looking for a job Monday morning !" Great nfl film on playcalling verbage ... www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-films-presents/0ap2000000095790/NFL-Films-Presents-Play-call-mumbo-jumbo

I hope this happens, but it is all speculation. How times over the years have we heard the Jets are going to hire this guy or they are definitely going to sign x player and it never happens and we are left disappointed. I will believe it when I see it. We don't even have a GM you don't think a team would move fast on KS as an OC or maybe a HC (buffalo).
