Now that 1/4 of the season is gone, let's revisit what we think the Jets record will be? Right after the draft, I didn't think the Jets would be any better in 2018. I said 5-11 at that time. Then I got a little caught up in the Sam Darnold mania and thought the Jets could win 6 games. At this point I'm back where I started. I say 5-11. Mac thinks doing nothing more than replacing what you lost from a 5-11 team makes you better? You're seeing this not be true right now. I think they'll beat Indy. I think they're going to split with the Bills and Dolphins. I think they'll win one other game we don't expect them to win?
What do you think?

hard to tell ... they'll certainly suck, but just may win enough, or show enough in their losses for Bowles and Maccagnan the idiot to keep their jobs. Then next year, with Sam a year in the league, and a substantial amount of the $90 million spent on second rate and totally worthless players, they'll go 4 and 12, fire Bowles and the Idiot, and go into complete rebuild mode once again.

At this point I tend to agree with 5 - 11. I have two hopes throughout what is shaping up to be another dismal season 1) Steady improvement in Sam Darnold; 2) Todd Bowles fired. On another note, I like how at the beginning of the season all the talking heads were all saying the Jets had a good defense. This was likely based on Bowles reputation as a defensive guru. Well, he's not a defensive guru, he just had good players in Arizona. He's in his 4th year and has done nothing.

I thought before the season that they'd win between 5-7 games. The next 3 games (Broncos, Colts and Vikes) will determine whether they go 3-13 or worse. The last couple of games have been killers and I think Bowles has lost the team. So if they win 2 out of the next 3, Bowles survives to the end of the season. Otherwise he might be gone @ the bye.

Boy do I feel like a goof predicting 10 wins a while back. I'd say now 4-12, but they'll luck out somewhere along the line so 5-11.

What this season is really all about at this juncture is can Bowles build this team into something? They've got some talent and it will be interesting to see can he improve this team or will they flounder like everybody thinks based on what they think of Bowles? For me there's no doubt this is do or die for Bowles and possibly Mac as well? If this team doesn't win more than 5 games this season, I can't see them salvaging their jobs.
