The Broncos have signed offensive lineman Nico Falah to their active roster off the Jets’ practice squad and placed Ron Leary on injured reserve, the team announced Monday.
Falah, a rookie, went undrafted out of USC in April. He spent most of the offseason with the Tennessee Titans before signing with the Jets after roster cutdowns in early September.
The 23-year-old interior lineman played center for the Trojans, but will be listed as a guard/center on the Broncos’ roster.
Leary tore his Achilles during the Broncos’ game against the Rams on Oct. 14.

I never understood why we don't poach 4 guys a year from other teams that have shown the ability to draft well at a certain position. My understanding is if you sign a guy you have to keep him on the roster for four weeks. Buffalo used to find gold at the CB position and we did well with Dlinemen. Find those organizations that do well at positions of need for us and steal 4 a year. Maybe we find gold every now and then.

I would think you wouldn’t want to take up a roster space with a player who isn’t good enough to make a roster. And wouldn’t you have to dump someone who IS good enough to make your roster?

We draft players who arent good enough to make rosters too. When everyone said two first rounders was too much for Mack I laughed. With those picks we are going to draft two 320 pound defensive linemen that cant get off a block.

Yeah, we wouldn't want to cut a skinny fuck that can't field punts right?

We just cut Prior because we didn't have the roster space to carry a guy who wasn't going to play for a few weeks. I guess if you're sure the guys going to contribute, that might work.
