At the time the GM position was available we were coming off a rough year with a disaster of cap management. Whoever took over was going to have to let the team shit the bed. A lot of candidates probably would have been ok with that but being handcuffed with the old HC probably turned off a lot of GM candidates. Idzik might have been the best guy willing to walk into this situation. I don't think many GMs would have had a better 2013 than what we had. The problem is that Idzik failed to do anything with the opportunity presented after 2013.

I'm not as pessimistic as most fans I will say 2 years providing the new GM concentrates on getting a Viable QB to compete and some weapons for the offense. The defense the only weakness is CB but that can be addressed in FA. The defense to me is stacked in the front 7 they are deep at Safety like I said they need a elite CB that to me is the only glaring weakness on the defense. That was the problem with Rex this team spent to much building the defense and left the offense depleted hopefully this GM will retain the current defensive players they have and go all out on the offense. if they do that this team will have a very Quick rebound

I can't imagine that we couldn't have found anyone better than that piece of shit lowlife cocksucking scumbag. The guy completely destroyed this organization in only two years. Was this REALLY the best Woody could find? I don't think he destroyed the organization. He fucked up sounds more like it to me.

Can we please move on? He's gone. Let's look forward. Kind of hard to when he completely destroyed the organization. It might take at least five years for the Jets to recover after what he did. Drafted the best player in the 2013 draft with a pick he wrangled from a trade in which he had zero leverage, signed the top FA WR, QB, RB last year, traded for an impact RB and WR and gave up very little. yeah, worst GM ever. Part of the problem with the Jets is that their fans suffer from the worst groupthink in sports.
