CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Redskins are "very much intrigued" by Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins.
The Jets at No. 3 overall are reportedly open for business and would be more than willing to trade out of that spot after landing Sam Darnold last year. The Redskins are said to be one of the prime candidates to come up should Kyler Murray and Nick Bosa go Nos. 1 and 2 in the draft. Washington's quarterback situation is bleak with Case Keenum and Colt McCoy on year-by-year deals and Alex Smith (leg) unlikely to play again. The Skins would seemingly have to leap the Raiders and Giants at Nos. 4 and 6 overall for a chance at Haskins.
Looks like the Jets might get a big haul here if true. There will still be some decent pass rushers on the board @ 15 or even in the 2nd round should they sign Houston and go with Tackle at 15.

I'd take 2 1s a 2 and a 4. We could get a Center and Guard this year and get a LT next year. Half a loaf is better then none.

I would jump on almost any deal that involves their 2020 1st because it will probably be pretty high. This would be a good deal but I think the Jets could squeeze out another late pick or two, especially if they include Darron Lee in the deal. Dropping to that part of the first round puts you squarely in the second tier of edge/OL prospects but outside of Bosa and Q Williams I'm not sure the drop off is so severe that you wouldn't take the extra picks to do it. Is Bosa worth two mid-high first round picks, and then some? If so (and I say yes) you jump on this.

It's also possible this is a smokescreen put out by Jets or Raiders because they want a team like the Bengals broncos or skins to trade up which would get a blue chipper to fall. Jets may prefer to stay at 3 and see the 49ers trade the pick, or Raiders may covet Bosa / QW and know the only way to guarantee one of them is for two QBs to go 1-3

They haven’t upgraded the WR corps at all and Darnold needs a big time playmaker. We saw what Darnold looks like with Robbie and Enuwa and it’s not great. I know Le’Veon will help as a pass catching RB, but they should grab a good WR in the first few rounds of the draft (in addition to more OL). But they should definitely trade the 3 for more picks.

If we upgrade the O.line through the draft the entire offense will look so much better. Darnold needs time to go through his reads. He really did not have that last year and it effects the entire offense. We have decent talent at the WR position. We don't need a Jerry Rice or AB to win, would be nice though. We can win with what we have if the oline improves.

I agree that it all starts up front with the o-line, but Darnold needs that big time WR that can go up and grab the ball out of the air and consistently beat the DB. Robbie and Enuwa would be 3rd stringers on nearly any good team in the league. At some point, they have to get him that number 1 target. But, yes, OL is most important but why can’t we have both? The moron has been GM for 4 years and we are stuck with sub par talent at WR (and OL). Hope he can fill both these positions of need soon or his ass will finally be shown the door.

I also think having a dependable slot WR like Crowder along with Enunwa, Bell, Anderson and Herndon gives Darnold the weapons he needs to succeed.

How many of those even exist especially on a consistent basis? There might be 10 in the whole league and there is no telling who will move up or down in a given year. Look at Herndon's ranking when playing with Darnold. He was a top TE. Anderson was #3 for deep throws, #19 for TDs and 32 for yards. They did this with no Oline to speak of and Darnold missed 3 games. Enunwa is decent when healthy and was pretty clutch for Darnold. Who did you want them to get and at what cost? Beckham, "I may play in half the games and start crying for a new contract on the day I was traded"? Brown went for a song and while he is a PITA the Jets should have been in the conversation at least. I wonder if he said he wouldn't come to the Jets just like he turned down the Bills. All that said I would love for the Jets to find a #1 WR in the draft but I think this year OLine is the key and giving Darnold and extra second or 2 will raise the whole team.

If Im dropping all the way to 15, Im asking for #15, 46, 76, and 96 this year, and next years #1 as a starting point.

This is really a no brainer. Course...it depends on whether or not we actually draft well with all them picks, which we clearly have a track record of not doing.
The team has felt very un-SOJ-like recently. So we have that going for us, which is nice. And like Beacon said...the Skins 2020 1st will probably be pretty high. Might be able to trade that one down too and turn one draft pick into 6-8 picks.

Ultimately a team will move up to the 2nd pick and we will not be able to trade back.
Book it.
