if this is in fact true, the Jets would probably be better off going for Bowels or Marrone I didnt think Domenik would be a GM in that scenario, but handle the business side of the dealings? Oddly, I kind of thought that was the plan! I never read anywhere that the Jets had rebuffed any ideas from Quinn. I thought we were fueling up PLAYLIKEAJET1 to get out there and sign the guy on Saturday if he lost? IN all honesty I never read anything about this either, and I thought I've been following pretty closely lol as a matter of fact I'm consumed by the whole process

I'd be happy with Bowles as well. You gotta lock him up if he interviews well today....

No way do I want anyone here with an affinity for Tom Cable. I still can't believe that the Jets were impressed with his interview. If Quinn wants Cable, pass. I've wanted Bowles all along, and pairing him with Shannahan seals the deal for me.

I've got the feeling Quinn will stay within the division and goto SanFran. They have one of the better teams and the weather is great ! Its definitely better then NY weather. Quinn would be good but I'm thinking it will be marrone or Bowels.

Quinn or Bowles are our top two choices, and I actually think McDermott may be the 3rd option.

i think the guys running the jets search realize that quinn may go to denver or sf, so they need more names. smart move. ultimately, the afc east should be an attractive division, brady doesn't have that many years left and the bills and dolphins just hired rex and tanny, 2 guys most of the rest of the nfl scoffed at when they were here.

I think everything that happened with Denver yesterday has made hiring a coach more of a front burner need now. B/c up until yesterday the thinking was Gase/SF, Quinn/Jets, Bowles/Falcons, Del Rio/Raiders, Bears/Shanahan/Marrone. So I think the Jets felt that they would at least get either Quinn or Bowles. But adding the Denver job in the mix and the fact that they already requested an interview with Quinn it probably put the pressure on the Jets to bring in the 1b candidate since he was available now. Switching the schedule to get him here before he goes to Atlanta is a huge deal. I don't see how he isn't named coach by the end of the week.

What the hell happened to LaCanfora or whatever having credibility as an insider and claiming Quinn wanted to come home? I think most rational people still think that is the case. People just like to get their panties in a twist. I think something changed with Quinn and it has Tanny's dirty little hands all over it. It also could be the Denver job.

Bowels is the guy we should hire. Interesting. Why do you say that? Bowles has more overall coaching experience. I remember when he was the interim HC in Miami, the players really responded to him and he seem to have a handle on all facets of the team. It appeared that offense, defense and special teams all played better after he took over going 2-1. There was a lot of players coming out saying they wanted him to be the next HC. He has been in the league longer and has dealt with more adversity then Quinn has. I have no problem with Quinn either. I dont think the Jets should let Bowles leave th facility if he goes to Atlanta we end up with Sean McD.

With Denver asking to speak with Kubiak, I doubt that Quinn is a realistic option in Denver or SF for that matter. I honestly believe that of Bowles and Quinn, one will go to Atlanta and the other will be here.
The timing for Quinn will be tough because he can hold either team ransom. Because all the other top candidates will be hired already.
I like both a lot. Bowles has much more experience. With Seattle's defense and running g game being easier to emulate here, I would think Quinn would prefer to be here.
But at this point, who the hell knows. If, somehow, we don't end up with one of the two, it will be a huge let down. But that said, up to this point, Woody has done everything g right.

I expect them to Lock down Bowles by dinner time. This john fox thing just made the market murkier than it already was. Can't wait for Quinn anymore.
Bowles is the better long term hire, i just wish i knew what his plan was on offense. Trestman still be a FA makes things interesting.
