Dont really think this is a rock song...but I love the Beatles and idolized Lennon. I think this cover captures the unique essence of Lennon's musical sensibilities and tops John's version. First thing I thought when I heard this was "John would have been blown away by this". To me its more John than his own version.

Van Halen was good in both incarnations although the original was better. But DLR is now a total fucking embarrassment. He can’t sing for shit. I mean, he never had a great voice but now it’s fucking awful. He can’t sing at all. Plus now he act’s like a friggin asshole. I used to think he was awesome and now I can’t even stand seeing him. DLR is officially an embarrassing asshole. Sammy on the other hand can still sing and he’s still cool. It's better to burn out cause rust never sleeeeps Sammy has tings under control. Still cool...not like China...who used to be cool. |
