No. Retreads aren't worth it. Billy Martin was the manager of the Yankees on five separate occasions. He won the world series once. Fuck Rex.

Hate to disagree with you, Jets Things 'cause I do see where you're coming from but at this point, if the Jets told me "Okay. You have a choice : Either keep Gase or get Rex Ryan back?", my choice would be crystal clear here.

I always liked Rex and after his first 2 seasons and what he accomplished thought we have our guy for the next decade or so. I think his strong suit is as a motivator and likable guy you want to perform for. It was after they started doing stupid trades and allowing players too much of a say is when the wheels came off. I can't put my fingure on it but things like getting rid of Jerrico Cotchery and the Chris Jenkins injury and an aging Bart Scott were part of the downfall. Then when Sanchez went south after he should of been the most confident man on the field after his first 2 years. I have a hard time wrapping my head around the decline. By all accounts, Rex loved coaching the Jets and it was his dream job. Then throw in all the crazy personal stuff and there you have it.

Another example of how shitty the Johnsons are as owners.

BTW - post-quarantine Rex is almost certainly fat. He's like the anti-Rocky, back out of shape, ready to lead the Jets again

Alot of character left that team during those days and poisonous lockeroom personalities seem to take over. Getting on top of that stuff was never Rex's strength.

Shoulda whacked Tanny and kicked Mangini upstairs. He could identify talent but couldn't get the most out of it. Rex couldn't identify it but when given it got everything they had. Mangini never would have signed the dickheads like Holmes.
