Pretty much what I figured. In NY we have a Mayor who called white cops crackers and thinks white supremacy is NY’s biggest problem while young minority kids shoot eachother in record numbers, crime is through the roof and stores are afraid to open for fear of being looted. Fuck’n politicians are evil. Anyhoo...and getting away from my political blather (though everything I posted is verifiably correct..cough cough)...If you only knew of Paddy though that vid..and had to guess his occupation...Caddy? College student? Tennis player? His ring persona and style are much more brutal than what that vid shows, lol. Yeah he seems like a genuinely cool guy. Just the fact he'd go to the game with the regular Joe's, taking the train is awesome. I'm getting tired fo some personas in MMA like Mcgreggor. I understand being a insulting/outrageous drives PPV up, more money, but it gets stale after a while. Paddy is a breath of fresh air and still brings it in the octogon. |

Tide has turned on the "official" narrative. PArlement investigation has blasted the crowd management and lack of police anticipation. Part of the problem apparently was because guys were jumping the fences to get in the stadium, a lot of the police force was stuck inside to stop them which made life easier for the attacks outside the fences..Anyhow, now that Liverpool fans have filed official complaints (not sure that's the right term) police investigations are underway, trying to get video footages ..etc. I heard the mayor of Liverpool was attacked, so he won't let this slide either.

Weird to think the World Cup is 2 months away. Having it Qatar is the best symbol of everything that's wrong in the world. If I had any convictions whatsoever I'd boycott it. For now I'm meh, but I know I'll get excited when it comes around. A total travesty.

Besides it’s hot there. 1 - Having the WC in Qatar is Like having the SB in the Mojave Desert 2 - Qatar is not a soccer country. 3 - WC is normally in June-July. To have it in Qatar the whole world had to change their local schedules to have it in Nov/dec so everyone doesn't die from heat stroke. 4 - Not to go green but it's an environmental/social disaster. Thousands of immigrant workers have died during the construction of state of the art air conditioned open air stadiums.. 5 - Fan experience will be awful. Crazy heat and no alcohol. |
