I didnt even think that State and DoD were in this bad of shape. These people are in so far over their heads. And there aint no Pattons waiting in the wings. The word is Britain's 2d Paras are leaving the perimeter and actually getting British Nationals to get them on planes and evacuate them. Imagine that. I also read that this is causing huge fights between the State Department and the UK. We are working with the Taliban to get our people out and they feel like the Brits are jeopardizing that. Sounds like the Brits are saying fuck you America, we're getting our people. Can't blame them. Right now we are at the Talibans mercy. What an incredible shitshow. |

Read something interesting. The Dems won't move on the 25th amendment to remove Biden because then Harris becomes President and there is no VP. She is the tiebreaking vote in the Senate right now. You need a majority in both houses to pick a new VP.
The thinking is the Republicans won't approve anyone because all legislation would come to a halt without the VPs tiebreaking vote. I would imagine some weasel like Romney or Murkowski would flip though. Still an interesting thought.

CNN just showed this. They slipped up and reported news. Bidens press conference earlier today he didn't talk about Afghanistan once, just Covid. No questions. I watched CNN and MSNBC right after and neither mentioned how he ignored Afghanistan. Even better both had "medical experts" ready to talk about Bidens Covid presser. So the White House tipped them off and they just ignored it. |

Yeah they suck but they fought. When we stopped feeding them Intelligence about Taliban movements and took out their safety net of air support they fled. Trumps plan was get the people out, get the equipment out, fall back to the airport, blow the bases up and leave. You don't need a room full of generals to come up with that, it's common sense. All of this was foreseeable and Biden fucked it up. Whether it's because he's mentally incapacitated, did it to benefit the Chinese or both you can debate. There's really no debating that he couldn't have fucked this up any worse. |
