The problem with that is vaccinated can carry and pass it just like unvaccincated can. True, however the odds of contracting COVID if vaccinated and passing it on are much lower than being unvaccinated. looks like the states with the highest vac rates have the highest covid rates...

Not getting anywhere trying to stop the recent booster mandate by Hochul, but I'm still trying. Latest kick in the teeth is that ALL NCAA athletes are considered fully vaccinated if that had Covid, but many of the HCWs who had it and are vaccinated....need a booster? FFS.

Also, definitely seeing a bump in cardiac arrests. Used to see 1 a week or so, now seeing 1-3 per shift. Had a NYPD retiree, recently boosted the other day (died). Asked the FDNY Lt if he's seeing an increase, said he was up to 5 that day (by noon), normally only sees 2-3 a day, almost all recently jabbed.

Imagine if there was any real journalism being done or real science where people weren't hiding numbers like this. It is sickening.

I'm on blood pressure meds and, like many of us (I assume), am not the picture of health. Do I even bother?

Only reason I got mine was I didn't want to lose my job though I did toy with the idea of early retirement.

However, attendance has been voluntary for the past two weeks and no one has gone in (to my knowledge). How long that will last is anyones guess. Used to be in three days a week, then they upped it to five for Q4 end, now back three. But again, no one has been going in. If I skip it and they suddenly call us back I'll have to start all over. They were not annoyed to hear I was not previously vaxed.

They were not annoyed to hear I was not previously vaxed. My company requires the vax now and wanted us back in the office but now we are back to essential works only for a while so we will see. The worst part is we have people all over the world on our team that don't have an office near them so I just keep asking how far away I have to move so I don't have to drive in. I used to go in 2 days a week before covid now with this "horrible virus" they want us in 3 days a week. Makes a lot of sense. It takes me about an hour to drive each way on a good day to sit there and have conference calls with people 5 desks away because we aren't allowed to use conference rooms because we could spread Covid. Also as I said most of the people in my group aren't at my location so WTF is the reason to be in the office? </rant> I should have retired.
