Gotta vehemently disagree with you here. I think that yesterday's massacre is further proof that their is no God and if there is, fuck him for allowing this to happen. Again. As an atheist I see your point and there are other points against the church as well but I do think the church has a place in society for building community, fellowship, purpose, and understanding right from wrong. The government in recent years has been doing everything to divide us and destroy any sense of community or national pride as though those feelings are horrible while promoting a hatred of America as a vile country with a uniquely horrific past. Most kids these days have no understanding of history and things like the 1619 project just work to further vilify and divide. Schools preach a lot of leftism, defend communism and can't define what a woman is. Parents are mostly absent, abdicating raising their kids to the school. Where do kids, especially you men learn their values now considering straight white men are considered the worst thing in the world now. I can't disagree with any of this.

Again. fair point. i am not a bible thumper. so in my example let's just replace 'god' with some kind of baseline for being a good and moral person. they glorify vice and freakery, and mock the things that would give kids a conscience/boundaries. so i guess it's not so much taking god out of the schools, it's the fucking dreck they've actively filled the void withNail on the head.

I think that is the problem. Humanity invented God for a reason and the void created in the past 50 years or so is obvious. We need to start the non-denominational Church of the Hampur where we will give your life purpose. Green Kool-Aid for everyone!

Each senator should have homework due in a week. Come up with a plan to not get schools shot up. Then debate each senators plan and come up with a consensus plan and legislate it. If you think that they would actually come up with or agree on anything purposeful they you have not been paying attention.

I only lurk and don't post on Twatter but I would love to hear people defend these suggestions as to how they could have prevented the shooting or any of the recent shootings from happening.
IMO: Background check: He passed a background check since he bought the gun legally in a store Licensing exams: No reason to think he didn't know it was illegal to kill people or use his guns as he did. What questions could be asked as a part of a licensing exam that would prevent a shooting? Regular education: Throw away line. What is "regular education" in this case and how could it prevent a shooting? Safety classes: Again what could you teach in a safety class that would have prevented the shooting? It isn't as though this was an accidental shooting of 20+ people it was the product of a sick and evil person.

I think you also have to look at the doctors prescribing psychotropic drugs to kids when their brains are still developing. Back in the day when we acted out we got a swift kick in the ass, today they get ritalin and antidepressants.

One where if you went hunting with it everyone would say "wtf Dave?". Would this be considered an assault weapon? M1A, on my short list.

Would this be considered an assault weapon? M1A, on my short list. Actually it's a Ruger mini-14 which is completely similar to this. They shoot the same cartridge, are both semi-auto, and both can handle large capacity magazines. One looks scary, the other doesn't but they are essentially the same. My short list includes a Barrett 50bmg but I'm gonna need those cryptos to pull through considering they're around $12-$15k used with a scope.

This dude is an attention-seeking doosh. I work at a thing he attends every year and we all have to be armed to protect him and his 1% pals as they all jerk eachother off under our protection. Libs have made a huge deal out of not allowing legally carrying guards/parents into schools. These miscreants know it. They are all cowards and weirdos and we've given them license to do sh*t like this because of woke nonsense. On the other hand, I dont own an AK, and I would have no problem with the average citizen not being able to buy one. That this evil fuck was able to buy several... is problematic to me. God rest the souls of those poor kids and teacher.
