10th Amendment. Any power not delegated to the federal government reverts to the states. Nothing in the Constitution about abortion, so it is an issue left up to the states. Roe v. Wade spit in the face of the Constitution. Isn't that what Ammendments are for? By that rationale, nothing was said about women being able to vote either, why not let the states decide on that? Because women are too sentimental to be trusted with a ballot. Also, it causes them too much stress.

If you go to this link you will see there are only 18 Democrat state legislatures but 32 Republican State legislatures. 3/4 of the states = 38 so neither side has a clear path to a partisan amendment and this is why it is so difficult to pass a new amendment. The US federal government is designed to be small and limited. Think of it like the EU. Each state is basically its own country under a federal flag for big things like currency and defense.

Women voting became an amendment. Its amazing the foresight our founders had. All the remedies are there in the document. To cut to the chase, the reason we have the situation we have is bc lawmakers, mainly Democrats, grew comfortable with the judiciary doing their job for them for the past 50 years. This Roe overturn is the first time in my life I have seen one of the three branches relinquish power. They dont agree with the outcome but from a constitutional standpoint this is increasing democracy and strengthening checks and balances. They need to do their jobs and put their names on bills now. Stop abdicating their role to the judiciary. But this means putting their names on something that includes abortion up until birth bc that is what their coastal liberal elite handlers demand. So that is what the real whining is about.

There is a lesson in this. Take the win when you got a win.

There is a lesson in this. Take the win when you got a win. Yet they will lie and screech and cry on the streets claiming Republicans are going to stop child sacrifice.

My wife was floored when i told her there were states that allowed abortions up to due date. I still can't wrap my head around how fucked up that is.

I know I can google this but I'm feeling a bit Big L..I understand the initial Roe vs Wade decision became a sort of juridprudence which gave a sort of "right" to abort. What the SC just decided is that it's not up to them to decide what becomes a right or not. It shoud be an ammendment. Correct? Edit, therefore sending it back to the states
