went to the vet today, my sweet pup has terminal cancer. "alimentary lymphoma" wtf pit rescue, 10 great years, time flew got a few months tops wifne and sopnes not taking it well. gonna be rough when we gotta make the decision, so i'm gonna make it myself when the time comes so the guilt can be on me. anyways Hey Brother. Im so very sorry to hear this news. Pets are part of the family and this really sucks. Love you man. thanks man. mutual, pretty sure no homo lol the wife busts my balls for all this internet shit but i tell her the chums i got on here are 10x better than the 'friends' she has me socialize with |

I think the elephant in the room is the non stop bombardment of vaccinations, and my vet agrees. My dog is behind on all of his vaccinations and my vet is fine with it...when is the last time a fucking dog got rabies? It doesn't happen but that don't stop them from jabbing up your dog every three years along with all of the other shots they get for illnesses they'll never get. yeah after the past few years i 100% agree. used to follow the whole pet regimen without a second thought if the wifne decides she wants another dog, gonna think long and hard about even registering the pup. prolly become an internet expert at raising a dog 'off the grid' thanks for all the well wishes lads. hitting the fam rougher than expected I watched a documentary many years ago warning about the over vaccination of dogs. Since that time my dog has never received another shot. Hard part is finding a vet that is OK with not vaccinating your dog every year, some won't even see you if your dog is not up to date. I'm lucky that I've found a great vet. |

I watched a documentary many years ago warning about the over vaccination of dogs. Since that time my dog has never received another shot. Hard part is finding a vet that is OK with not vaccinating your dog every year, some won't even see you if your dog is not up to date. I'm lucky that I've found a great vet. Mine only required what was required for the town registration. I'm surprised people still register their dogs, I never have. I even have my vets list my dog as a mixed breed even though it's obvious he's a full blooded American Pit Bull Terrier. |

Had a shepherd mix take off during T storms earlier this week. 13 years old and the storms got worse for her each year. Found her on the road (what was left of her)on the way to work next morning.
No shots except for what they gave her from the kennel as a pup before we got her. Bout the only meds we give them are for flea treatment and thats harsh enough. Never any issues.
Hardest thing to do is to put them down but sometimes the last best gift you can give them. He likely had a way better life with you than a lot of them could ever hope for.

Give the fam a chance to say goodbye. My MIL dropped my dying Jack Russell off w vet; vet said she could save the dog's life for $3000 She just bolted - I was furious not to say goodbye |
